    Tax Accountant

    About The Role

    • The Tax Accountant will ensure management of all tax matters by ensuring business compliance and adherence to tax regulations and governance standards within the East African region.

    Key responsibilities:-

    • Providing tax advice and guidance on all tax matters with regards to government regulation and applicable law.
    • Optimization of tax efficiencies and mitigation of tax exposures within the control's environment.
    • Provide timely advisory on impending legislative changes and their impact to the business.
    • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
    • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all tax returns.
    • Manage and coordinate tax audits.
    • Maintain tax balances on the general ledger.
    • Conduct to tax reviews and assessments to identify areas of improvement.
    • Enhance communication on tax matters and conduct internal training where appropriate.

    Requirements:-

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Economics, Law (LLB) or c any other related field.
    • CPA (K) or ACCA certification
    • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
    • Thorough knowledge of tax accounting procedures and principles.
    • Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax laws; exposure to tax frameworks is an added
    • Proficiency in report writing.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • High attention to detail with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
