Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes/Skills): 
Academic Qualifications:

• Master’s degree from a recognized institution in any of the following fields: Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
• First level university degree from a recognized institution in any of the following fields: Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent qualification combined with the required work experience may be accepted in lieu of the Master’s degree.

Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies:

• Professional management certifications/qualifications as applicable.
• Membership with relevant professional body, where applicable.
• Undertaken Leadership/Management course from a recognized institution.
• Proficiency in computer applications.

Previous relevant work experience required:

• Minimum of tent (10) years of relevant work experience with demonstrated competence in work performance.
• Experience managing/coordinating project teams in a shipbuilding industry is desirable
• Technical knowledge in maritime systems
• Experience in the Disciplined Services at managerial/senior command of at least 3 years an added advantage
