    Technical Officer-CQI

    Ref: TOCQI/LVCT/08/2022

    Job purpose
    The TO-CQI will be responsible for providing technical support to Dhibiti Project and counties teams in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives for the project. Working closely with the CHMT
    and project HSS Lead, the TO will ensure the establishment of QI teams at the county, sub county and facility levels and support these teams in the scale up of programs related QI activities. 

    Key responsibilities 

    • Support establishment/strengthening of quality improvement teams in the supported counties Lead in strengthening capacity of health care workers to operationalize quality management
    • systems at facility level Work closely with sub-county and county health management and project teams to monitor
    • quality improvement initiatives to hold gains/best practice for sustainability
    • Lead in development of quality frameworks and tools for various quality programs in Dhibiti
    • project in line with the Kenya Quality Model for Health and the Kenya HIV Quality Improvement Framework
    • Support county and project teams in building an evidence base to guide the design of contextuallyinformed QI implementation strategies and sustainable country-wide practices Support in developing and reviewing CQI capacity building materials to empower health care
    • professionals for ownership of health care improvement Support county and project teams in planning and conducting tests of promising innovations and
    • changes that improve care for patients Lead in the documentation of all quality improvement initiatives and outcomes

    Requirements 

    • Degree in Public Health or equivalent, with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in implementation of quality improvement forsystems health
    • Experience in coordinating HIV QI activities at facility, sub-county and county levels Demonstrated understanding of health systems in Kenya
    • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, organizational and communication skills; with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a demanding environment Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
    • Demonstrated skills for quantitative and qualitative data analysis Experience in developing body of knowledge and dissemination for programs improvement
