Technical Support Intern - Sport for Sustainable Urban Development at UN-Habitat

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day implementation of the Sport for Sustainable Urban Development Initiative.
• Assist with monitoring of activities in pilot countries.
• Contribute to desk research and technical inputs supporting the integration of sport into UN-Habitat tools and methodologies, including support to testing and refinement processes.
• Support the organization and preparation of inputs for spatial mapping, and data analysis activities and report generation and review.
• Support the preparation and delivery of events, workshops, missions, and knowledge-exchange activities related to sport-driven urban development.
• Contribute to knowledge management by taking meeting notes and supporting the drafting of communication materials such as presentations, briefs, newsletters, and web content.

Qualifications/special skills

Applicants must at the time of application, meet one of the following requirements:

• Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher),
• Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent),
• Have graduated with Bachelor's degree, Masters, PhD or equivalent.
• Be computer literate in standard software applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Have demonstrated a keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter. Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which includes a willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.
