Temporary Assistant – Accounting and Finance at Capital Markets Authority (CMA)

The Capital Markets Authority is a statutory agency charged with the responsibility of regulating and developing an efficient capital market in Kenya. The Authority invites applications for the following position:

Contract Period: Six Months Fixed Term Contract

Reporting to the Accountant, the selected candidate will be responsible for;

1. Receiving supplier invoices and recording them in the invoice register;
2. Conducting daily supplier reconciliations;
3. Preparing supporting documents to process payments;
4. Following up on user department approvals;
5. Filing of payment vouchers;
6. Preparing daily and weekly reports;
7. Updating statutory payments matrix regularly; and
8. Collecting and populating quantitative data for purposes of Integrated reporting project

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

1. Bachelor of Commerce- Finance, Economics, Accounting or any business-related degree;
2. Professional course such as CPA Part I is added advantage;
3. Basic IT and knowledge of automated Accounting systems will be an added advantage.
