    Events and Marketing Coordinator

    Responsibilities

    Events Management

    • Actively market KATA events to generate sponsorships and partnerships
    • Liaise with our partners to deliver events in line with KATA brand guidelines
    • Plan, manage and deliver key KATA’s planned events and oversee the Events Calendar as a tool for planning internally
    • Coordinate event planning, including writing event plans, venue booking etc and drive-up participation and engagement.
    • To manage budgets and key objectives associated with running events Marketing,

    Publicity, and information

    • Coordinating the KATA branding and communication.
    • Coordinate marketing activities and identify new marketing opportunities.
    • Design marketing materials to promote KATA brand
    • Disseminate marketing materials, both print & digital, to our audiences.
    • To source for digital advertising opportunities for the association through its platforms
    • To represent KATA, attending events such as meetings, events and fairs to promote our activities
    • Others Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications and Essential skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
    • At least four (4) years of experience in a similar role.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Previous experience of delivering marketing and publicity plans across several platforms.
    • Previous experience of events management working with a wide range of people.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to negotiate successfully with potential partners/sponsors
    • Experience of developing and maintaining relationships with partner organisation, businesses, and other stakeholders.
    • Experience of writing copy for websites, newsletters, and press.
    • Expert knowledge of a wide range social media platforms for marketing purposes.
    • Good working knowledge of standard IT programmes including MS Office, photo editing and graphic design packages.
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and work to a plan.
    • A good understanding of the travel industry
