Tractor/Equipment Operator at M-PESA Foundation Academy

Job Description

Under the guidance of the Landscaping Supervisor, the Tractor/Equipment Operator  primary responsibility will be to operate tractors, implements, and other farm machinery relating to the Landscaping. The role holder will also perform general fieldwork for the landscaping, as needed. She/he will work as part of the ground Attendants Team and report to the Landscaping Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

1. In charge of tractors , lawn mowers and other farm movable equipment’s
2. Ensuring that minor servicing of the tractor is done
3. Handling of mounting, assembling and setting of implements to the tractor
4. Ensure that the sports filed ins mowed , aerating and transportation of any material that need to be landscaped
5. Engaged in landscaping when not operating the tractor
6. Apply technical skills in tending to academy grounds and fields
7. Perform general ground work within landscaping department, including, but not limited to: filed preparations, Planting, hand weeding, and mowing.

 Person’s Specifications

1. Motor vehicle mechanic certificate
2. Driving license
3. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
4. Demonstrate experience  and commitment to landscaping
5. Good communication skills (both written and spoken)
6. Strong organization skills
7. Ability to produce accurate work
8. Team player who is flexible with their work approach
9. Demonstrate ability to perform duties responsibly under minimum supervision
