Trainer, Nautical Science at Bandari Maritime Academy

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

• Assisting in designing, developing and delivering training and capacity building programs in maritime education and training and related areas.
• Supporting to develop instructional materials for training.
• Implementing training programs according to the set syllabus.
• Monitoring and reporting class attendance
• Setting, moderating administering and marking of examinations.
• Supporting in the supervisory roles of trainees’ practical sessions trade, projects and business plan development.
• Contributing to the development and review of curriculum and syllabus.
• Assisting in workshop records documentation.
• Assisting in designing, developing, delivering training and capacity building programs in maritime education and training.
• Supporting in developing instructional materials for training
• Implementing training programs according to the set syllabus

• Supporting trainees’ practical sessions trade, projects and business plan development
• Monitoring and reporting class attendance
• Contributing to developing and reviewing curriculum and syllabus;
• Assisting in analysis of workshop records.

Person Specifications:
For appointment to this grade an Officer must have: -

• At Least three (3) Years relevant work experience at the grade of Assistant Trainer III or in a comparable position
• Diploma in any of the following engineering fields; Mechanical, Electrical, Marine Engineering or Nautical Science. 
• Proficiency in Computer applications skills.
