Royal Media Services Limited wishes to recruit a high calibre individual for the position of TV Producer/Director. We are looking for a creative producer with demonstratable production and organizational skills. The jobholder is should be a team player, a problem solver and possess a clear understanding of overall content production process.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pre, production and post production of various genres of multi-platform, multi-camera shows
• Interaction and management of studio guests including high-profile personalities
• Preparing and producing on-location crews for live events
• Management and enhancement of allocated programme slot(s)
• Timely delivery of assigned programs
• Managing production talent and crew
• Developing content for programme promos
• Executing client driven productions
• Conceptualizing and executing creative fresh ideas
• Adherence to the company’s editorial principles and guidelines

Skills and Personal attribute

• Excellent writing and spoken Dholuo language
• Current affairs awareness
• General knowledge of editorial ethics code and practice
• Excellent skills to produce and direct shows of different genres.
• Great creative and organizational skills
• A flexible person, able to work under pressure
• A meticulous planner, pays attention to detail
• Good communicator with great writing and presentation skills
• Good in execution and in follow up
• Able to make quick and well-thought-out decisions
• Efficient time management skills
• Good command of written and spoken English and Swahili

Academic and professional experience

• University Graduate – Communication/TV production with relevant practical experience
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in TV production process
• Video editing skills in Final Cut, After Effects an added advantage.
