USS Design Specialist - Junior at Riana Group

The Junior Design Specialist supports the design and documentation of security and life safety systems (e.g., CCTV, Access Control, PAVA). Responsibilities include creating 2D/3D drawings, conducting site surveys, preparing BOQs, and collaborating with project teams and clients. The role also involves attending meetings, managing project communication, and ensuring adherence to design standards and industry trends for our subsidiary 

Key Responsibilities

• Design solutions in the security system and live safety systems environments. This includes but are not limited to CCTV, Access Control, PAVA, Entrance Control, IPBAX, and Intercom.
• Prepare and generate 2D and 3D drawings in AutoCAD and other design software as maybe applicable. This includes working drawings and As Built Drawings.
• Conduct site surveys and make sketch for solutions design.
• Develop and prepare bill of quantities from the designed solutions.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams e.g. Project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints.
• Attending project meetings with the clients and other stakeholders.
• Manage project communications by means of MoMs.
• Interact and effectively communicate with various team members in project design work,
• Identify and provide strategic work solutions to improve design work.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and design practices and incorporate them into project deliverables.
• Follow and adhere to the reputed design standards and guidelines as may be applicable.

Education and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in any Engineering Field, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Urban Planning.
• Minimum of 2yrs relevant experience in a similar field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and any other CAD Design software.
• Strong understanding of design principles, brand identity, and user centered design methodologies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional attention to details.
