    Project Officer- SRH, GSI Advisor (DESIP)

    Project Implementation and Management

    • Provide technical support to partners in developing and utilizing inclusive social behaviour change communication strategies to address knowledge, attitudes, norms, and cultural practices towards the use of family planning (FP) among the youth, women, and persons with disabilities.
    • Take lead in building the capacity of partners and health care workers on social and disability inclusion.
    • Provide technical input on the improvement of disability reporting using the Washington Group of questions and disaggregation of populations to include disability.
    • Work with partners to strengthen networks and advocacy coalitions in influencing policy decisions around inclusion of persons with disabilities accessing FP services.
    • Organize and create platforms for developing and sharing best practices on inclusive FP service delivery for youth, women, and persons with disabilities.
    • Developing learning resources on social and disability inclusion for partners and health care workers.
    • Support partners to engage social and disability inclusion champions while implementation of activities.
    • Responsible for developing a risk management plan for the project indicating potential risks and mitigation strategies for the project.

    Monitoring & Evaluation and Reporting

    • Monitoring progress of consortium members in applying inclusive strategies to enhance services for Family Planning.
    • Lead in organizing monthly, quarterly as well annual project reviews and planning worksh
    • Lead in the preparation of project work plans and continuously monitor progress against the approved work-plan.
    • Develop quarterly case studies on inclusive FP practices

    Relationship management and partnership working

    • Ensure that all consortium partners are kept regularly informed about the progress of activities.
    • Participate in quarterly project working group meetings with partners
    • Participate in county and national sector specific forums as will be appropriate.

    Budgeting and Financial Management

    • Participate in financial planning and phasing, administer, and monitor expenditures against budgets and maintain budget tracking records for the project.
    • Track, in liaison with Project Accountant, project expenditure and develop value for money evaluation reports.

    Logistical and Administrative support

    • Coordinate project logistical and administrative support in liaison with Procurement and Logistics Officer.

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • The ideal candidate should have qualifications in Public Health or Social Sciences .
    • Have in-depth knowledge and experience in advocacy, Sexual and Reproductive Health, specifically for marginalized groups especially women and persons with disabilities.
