Warehouse Manager at Mabati Rolling Mills Limited (MRM)

Key Performance Areas:

• Coordinate with the Head of Supply Chain and implement overall Warehouse and Stores optimization strategy in regard to space, capacity, productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure workplace health & safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the assets in Warehouse.
• Receiving inventory accurately and in a timely manner, verifying product quality, using appropriate technology, and maintaining necessary records
• Establish controls to ensure the Business Unit is operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimized supply chain risk.
• Maintain the quality of inventory by using proper storage and handling equipment and procedures and first-in-first-out (FIFO) procedures.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through accurate cycle count, physical reconciliation of Inventory against SAP ERP system as well as root cause analysis and reporting on any stock differences.
• Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.
• Implement visual management standards and stacking measures for easy access and tracking of products
• Ensure the effective utilization of MHE – Crane, Forklifts, etc. and improve worker productivity.
• Implement and drive continuous improvement program in warehouse function and establish high level of performances & standards.
• Maintain 100% accuracy in documentation, data management and compliance of SOPs.
• Adherence of Safety norms & policy compliance and implement 5S to make warehouse safer and productive.
• Ensure that adequate insurance policy cover is arranged by the company for goods in transit and in stores.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain
• Certified course in Supply Chain / Procurement is preferred
• Minimum 12 to 15 years in ERP based Supply Chain position in a busy manufacturing, steel or FMCG
• Proficiency in End user ERP System – SAP ERP System preferably
• Posses good knowledge of Lean Tools – Six Sigma, Kaizen and Warehouse Management System
• Excellent understanding of end-to-end Warehouse Management processes and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and exhibit team leadership.

The Group subscribes to market-related remuneration. The Remuneration for this position will be commensurate with the applicant’s level of experience and qualifications.
