Fresh Water Project Officer at Great Lakes University of Kisumu

Key Responsibilities

• Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
• Safely transporting University staff, designated officers / clients to and from designationsas scheduled. 
• Collect payments from students and issue receipts as advised. 
• Ensure the university vehicle only carries out official assigned duties unless authorized for other tasks.
• Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions.
• Ensure good cleanliness and maintenance of the assigned vehicles at all times.
• Schedule regular car service appointments as expected and report any issues
• Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date
• Ensure the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use as scheduled. 
• Report any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to University Management.

Qualification & Competencies Required

• A valid driver’s license
• Availability of PSV Badge 
• Proven experience as a driver with about 3-5 years with a clean driving record
• Significant experience in fleet management and / or logistics including operating buses. 
• Availability to be flexible and occasionally take weekend and night shifts
• Understanding of policies and procedures governing the management of vehicles and traffic rules. 
• Experience operating heavy commercial will be added advantage.
