Over the years, IIK has grown into the heartbeat of Kenya’s insurance profession, setting standards, shaping careers, and driving excellence.
In 2025, a historic milestone was achieved: IIK was granted full statutory recognition under the Insurance Professionals Act, 2025. This landmark legislation elevated IIK from an industry-recognized body to a legally established professional body, entrusted with regulating, licensing, and advancing insurance practitioners across the country. Today, IIK stands as the guardian of professional integrity and competence in Kenya’s insurance sector—empowering members and aligning the industry with global best practices.
