    Administrative Assistant

    Tasks

    • Reception services: Attend to visitors queries and provide general information on STRABAG as appropriate, receive calls on behalf of STRABAG and direct them accordingly.
    • Facilitate an effective working environment by ensuring that all essential services (utilities, internet, telephone) supplies, stationery and amenities are available to staff and visitors as needed.
    • Facilitate incoming and outgoing correspondence including distribution of incoming mails to relevant staff, timely sending of outgoing correspondences, scanning, photocopying, and archiving of documents as needed.
    • Facilitate travel needs of staff and visitors as needed in collaboration with the office drivers.
    • Coordinate the travel and accommodation of foreign staff and visitors to Kenya in conjunction with the head office. This includes air tickets, travel visas, airport transfers, accommodation, and any other visitor requirements.
    • General office management: Oversee office cleaning, security in the office including keeping custody of spare keys and maintenance of first aid kit.
    • Facilitate meetings and ensure adequate amenities are in place.
    • Keeping diaries, manage staff appointments.
    • Any other duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications

    • University Degree in Business Administration or any related field from a recognized institution.
    • Min. 4 years working experience in a busy environment.Knowledge and Skills:
    • Meticulous attention to detail.
    • Excellent command of English and Kiswahili.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Sound Administrative skills and the ability to multi-task.
    • Experience in the use of MS Word, Email Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint.
    • Highly developed planning and organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
    • Posses the ability to work well under pressure.
    • Self-motivated, intelligent, creative, very capable and well qualified reliable team player.
    • Ability to work in a multi-cultural setting.

    Junior Civil Engineer

    Tasks

    • Support the Engineer with technical coordination of technical Services internally in civil and structural works.
    • Support the Engineer in the technical assessment of tender documents.
    • Support the tender department in the commercial/financial evaluation of project tender documents for estimation.
    • Support in obtaining and techno-commercial assessment/evaluation of quotations from sub-contractors and suppliers.
    • Support in preparation of sub-contract documents for any technical building service works for sub-contractors.
    • Be the interface between technical services and other internal departments.
    • Preparation and elaboration of time schedules for all technical services and coordination with civil works
    • Technical coordination and supervision of sub-contractors during construction
    • Coordination of sub-contractors during construction
    • Support clerk-of-works for inhouse/turnkey projects, ensuring Quality Control/ Assurance (QA/QC) of execution works on site.
    • Support technical/contractual correspondence with Clients/Consultants, and Sub-contractors.

    Qualifications

    • BSc. Civil Engineering
    • Registered as Graduate Engineer with the EBK.
    • Minimum 4 Years’ experience in structuresProficiency in CAD is required.
    • Experience in any structural modelling or analysis software e.g., Robot, Proton, etc., is an advantage.Knowledge and Skills:
    • Established network of reliable subcontractors, and suppliers in Nairobi area.
    • Familiar with local building codes and regulations, including local Health and Safety guidelines (OSHA).
    • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Auto CAD
    • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced worksite environment.
    • Fluent in English and Kiswahili (Spoken, Written)
    • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to read schedules and scheduling reports.
    • Willingness for continuous learning, advancement of technical knowledge and transfer of expertise from STRABAG worldwide to STRABAG Kenya
    • Willingness to support in other fields during establishment of Business.

    Tasks

    • Proficiency in using data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, Excel, Google Analytics, etc.).
    • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced worksite environment.
    • Fluent in English and Kiswahili (Spoken, Written)
    • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to read schedules and scheduling cures/reports.
    • Entrepreneurship attitude to be essential part of a Business Development
