    Lecturer in Nursing - The Department of Midwifery and Reproductive Health Nursing

    The purpose of the job

    Contributing to the scholarship and intellectual life of the university by teaching, conducting research and mentoring students in line with the University’s guidelines in academic affairs to achieve overall objectives

    Requirements

    1. Christian commitment and practice
    2. Earned PhD in Midwifery or Reproductive Health Nursing with Midwifery from an accredited University, OR
    3. Master's degree in Midwifery or Reproductive Health Nursing with Midwifery from an accredited university with at least three (3) years teaching experience at university level or in research/industry; and
    4. A minimum of 24 publication points of which at least 16 should be from refereed journal papers
    5. Registered by the Nursing Council of Kenya and with a valid Practice License

    University Chaplain - Resident at the Main Campus, Athi River – One Position

    Purpose of the job

    Leading and managing spiritual nurturing of students and staff, while coordinating religious activities for the institution, counseling, mentorship and pastoral care needs of staff, faculty, and students to achieve the University’s vision

    Requirements

    1. Be a holder of Masters’ degree in Theology or its equivalent from a reputable University
    2. Must have demonstrable pastoral training
    3. Must be an ordained Minister in a recognized Bible believing Church
    4. Must have served as a Pastor or equivalent position for at least seven years
    5. Teaching experience of at least five (5) years at university level or equivalent

    Responsibilities

    1. Implementing the departmental strategy in line with overall strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to achieve the institution’s objectives
    2. Leading and overseeing the practice in spiritual discipline
    3. Leading and initiating support operations of the spiritual nurture programs in the university including semester calendar of activities.
    4. Coordinating and carrying out spiritual counselling in the university

    Deputy Chaplain – Two Positions

    Purpose of the job

    Provision of support and assistance to the University Chaplain on spiritual nurture, religious coordination, counseling, mentorship and pastoral care needs of staff, faculty and students to achieve the University’s vision

    Requirements

    • Implementing the semester calendar of activities on spiritual matters
    • Planning and ensuring availability and usability of venue for spiritual meetings and initiatives

    • Ensuring execution of jobs in line with the departmental processes and procedures achieve the institutions objectives
    • Leading in Christian behaviour and appropriate behaviour both internal and external in line with the institutions Strategy.
