About the Role:
Burn is looking for a Authenticity Assurance Manager who will play a pivotal role in developing and executing counterfeit enforcement strategies on a global scale to ensure all our core brands and intellectual property rights are protected across all our commercial markets.

In this role, the Authenticity Assurance Manager Manager will implement and oversee strategies to identify, investigate, and combat counterfeit activities related to our organization's intellectual property portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law enforcement, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for protecting the integrity of our brand.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Enforcement and surveillance activities

• Conduct in-depth market research to understand the supplier, distributor, and points of sale for distributing counterfeit products in the various destination markets.
• Proactively collaborate with commercial teams in various domestic markets and implement surveillance programs to monitor online and offline channels for potential counterfeit activities.
• Enforcing intellectual property rights, collaborating with enforcement authorities, establishing relationships with customs officials and staying abreast of brand enforcement practices across all our key commercial markets.

Counterfeit detection

• Conduct thorough investigations into reported incidents of counterfeiting, working closely with internal teams and external partners.
• Use investigative techniques to identify and track counterfeit products or activities.

Collaboration and coordination

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with government officials and consultations with anti-counterfeit agencies, port authorities, regulatory authorities and police agencies in different markets to reduce the presence of counterfeit enforcement.
• Proactively conducting brand awareness training with customs and port officials to intercept illegal shipments of counterfeit products.
• Collaborate with government agencies to provide expertise, insights, and recommendations on counterfeit enforcement matters.
• Coordinate with commercial and legal teams to gather necessary data and insights to inform well-rounded and impactful responses to an influx of counterfeit in the market.

Legal knowledge

• Conversant with intellectual property, and anti-counterfeit laws to identify potential infringement actions.
• Work closely with the commercial and legal team to initiate legal actions against counterfeiters and provide necessary evidence for litigation.
• Coordinate with the legal team to proactively register for any intellectual property rights that may support a wider scope of enforcement options.
• Ability to write white papers that showcase regional thought leadership in nascent legal markets where intellectual property laws are yet to be formulated.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong enforcement background with a degree specializing in law or related fields.
• Proven experience in interpreting and navigating complex legal frameworks with a strong track record of engagement with government bodies, the ability to engage with port authorities, customs officials, anti-counterfeit agencies and other stakeholders.
• Proven experience working in multiple countries key among them counterfeit nations such as China, India Nigeria and other African countries where counterfeit imitations are prevalent.
• Good project management experience and managing internal and external stakeholders across our priority markets such as port authorities and counterfeit agencies.
• Extensive experience in conducting secret shopper experiences, landscape assessments, counterfeiting as viable competitors, and ideal counterfeit channels across our B2B and B2C Channels and formulating multipronged strategies to combat the same across various points of sale and retail platforms.
• Good understanding of government structures at local, national, and international levels facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
• Familiarity with the legislative processes and decision-making mechanisms related to counterfeit enforcement.
• Demonstrated track record of cultivating and maintaining relationships with government officials and relevant decision-makers.
• Collaboration with Commercial Teams across the market to understand brands currently in the market, and who is bringing in the counterfeit stoves.
• Ability to represent the organization at conferences, workshops, and government-related events.

About the role

BURN is looking for an Audio-Visual Content Creator who will be tasked with producing content that combines both audio and visual elements to communicate messages, tell stories, entertain, educate, and promote BURN’s products and services.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Adept at using semi-pro mirrorless cameras for BOTH photography and video purposes
• Understand the impact video content makes on our audience. You take as much pride in a 30-minute documentary as you do in a short 30-second mobile promotion or a 10-second YouTube teaser 
• Solid grasp of current and evolving social media platforms and how to leverage video for audience traction and engagement
• Be creative and able to work with subject matter experts to turn ideas into compelling scripts/concepts that are shared through video 
• Be able to shoot on the fly and create content in an intuitive, creative way
• Suggestions and ideas to take a project idea from concept to completion 
• Use a variety of technical skills and software to complete production, including Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects 
• Produce product marketing content, and conduct studio shoots independently (or with teammates), including directing the instructors, running the camera, setting up lights, sound, set design, etc. 
• Researching and produce and post product videos and photos used for social media channels and related marketing programs (demo video, ads, informational content, and social media content.) 
• Create and organize stock image/video library. 
• Production: Planning, story line, script creation and editing, camera operator, sound operator, lighting operator.   
• Post-production (with 3D and motion designer): clip Editing, motion graphics, sound editing, music editing, color grading. 
• Communicate with team about creative content scheduling, deadlines, and logistics as needed 
• Work collaboratively with the rest of the production team to continuously raise the bar in terms of production value. 
• Analyze video performance, maintain/improve our visual standards for videos and shorts. 
• Maintain a video content calendar for social media and sales channels 

Skills and Experience

• Hands-on experience in photography and photo editing
• Hands-on experience in videography and video editing
• At least three (3) years of agency or in-house creative department experience required
• Portfolio demonstrating previous photography and videography work completed 
• Proficiency in Adobe Products (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Lightroom etc.)
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• Prove basic website design skills and knowledge (Content Management Systems, HTML etc.)
• Understanding of the latest social media trends and practices
• Any extra design-related certification is an added advantage

About the role
The MRV Accounting Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate processing of payments and thorough reconciliation of financial transactions in the MRV department.

This role involves handling daily financial activities, maintaining financial records, and resolving discrepancies to ensure the integrity of financial data. The Employee shall have the following duties and responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and process daily field allowances for the data Enumerator's payment runs including electronic funds transfers, and international payments.
• Ensure timely preparation of Payment Request Forms (PRFs).
• Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors, suppliers, and employees. Verify payment requests and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Maintain records of all payment transactions and related documentation.
• Perform timely reconciliations of all payments in compliance with stipulated guidelines. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between PRFs and expense forms.
• Ensure payments are supported by valid proof of payments. Prepare and present reconciliation reports for approval.
• Liaise with the Finance Team to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of invoices and receipts.
• Follow up with the finance dept for timely project funds disbursements, and contractor & supplier payments.
• Work with the finance dept or commercial dept cost accountant to prepare & present monthly budget variance reports to MRV managers.
• Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
• Project Coordination Support: In collaboration with the Country MRV Coordinators, prepare payrolls for MRV Casuals and Contractors.
• Support the MRV team with ad hoc in-project tasks such as task assignments to field teams.
• Obtain and maintain HR documentation for all MRV Contractors and Casuals.
• Any other tasks as requested by the line manager and/or senior management.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Dynamics NAV is desirable.
• At least 2 years of experience in a business environment, preferably in a related industry.
• Experience in Accounting.
