    Facilitators

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Planning of learning activities for training period
    • Recruitment of trainees for course
    • Participate in mobilization activities to ensure that center meets the targeted number of participants within timeframe
    • Participate in TOT and workshops to learn and delivery effective curriculums to the participants
    • Source on the job training and placement opportunities for the students
    • Assist trainees (m/w) in attending interviews and extend support in post placement assistance
    • Prepare classroom timetable and training calendar for trade
    • Deliver practical and theoretical curriculum of the trade
    • Conduct internal assessment for trainees(m/w) during and after training
    • Invite industry players for guest lectures
    • Arrange Field visits and exposure visits for trainees(m/w)
    • Network with trade specific industries
    • Maintain track record of learning and keep the database up to date Keep the MIS updated
    • Provide reports as and when required Prepare case studies and testimonies Participate in placement drives
    • Deliver learning through online tools available like LMS
    • Conduct parent’s meetings
    • Assist center staff in important assignments as and when required.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Degree/Diploma in specific course or equivalent qualification.
    • At least 2 years working experience in specific industry
    • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook).
    • Good presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills
    • Proficiency in English and Swahili languages.
    • Good facilitation skills
    • Strong oral and written communication skills

    Tvet Expert- Short Term

    Roles & responsibilities:

    • TVET expert has below listed activities in their portfolio.
    • Contribution to the design, coordination and the implementation of measures in the Go-Blue project in the field of employment promotion and vocational education and training (e.g. occupational standard and curriculum customization/development, organizing practical training, development and expansion of training capacities, VTC instructors training, development of programs and implementation of short-term Competency Based and modularized trainings, development of assessment tools
    • Mobilize private sector employers and complete on boarding exercise with them by signing the MOU
    • Coordination and spearheading of corporate contributions, coordinating project implementation, progress reporting and other arrangements for partnerships with the private sector for high end employment of the beneficiaries after training
    • Establish technical Steering Committee with partner training institutions for follow-up and monitoring of implementation
    • Networking with industrial associations, individual companies and initiate partnership between VTC-TVET institutions and the industry e.g. designing and signing of partnership MoUs with the private sectors of the Go-Blue sectors
    • Coordination of the project’s impact monitoring, contribution to weekly, quarterly and annual reporting procedures, management and monitoring
    • Update employers on intake and graduations dates so to enable them to make plan for hire in advance.
    • Connect employers with sector specific CoE’s and ensure that proper follow-up is done on periodical level.
    • Contribution to Go-Blue working groups and regional learning activities as well as to relevant TVET working groups in the Go-Blue project
    • Organize seminars, webinars and events to ensure that employers are always provided with an opportunity to provide support on all aspects of program.
    • Establish a network of private sector employers for each sector of blue economy
    • Conduct sector specific meetings and drives
    • Planning, implementation, reporting of monthly capacity building events across all counties as per capacity building manual.
    • Network with TVET authorities, TVET institutions and private sectors
    • Ensure that participants take advantage of LMS in place under the project.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, biannually, yearly reports and other customized reports for reporting purpose.
    • Develop social media posts and case studies for project visibilities
    • Mobilize best performers to give testimonies at different events in the project.

    Minimum qualifications

    • Master’s degree or equivalent in the fields of Economics, Business Administration, Social sciences or other related field
    • At least three years professional experience in the relevant functional area or training institutions
    • Demonstrated experience in project management including in donor funded project management, and monitoring and evaluation.

    Gender and Inclusion Assistant- Short Term

    Roles & responsibilities **

    • Ensure gender and protection issues and aspects are addressed;
    • Support implementation of gender and protection mainstreaming strategies during all stages of project
    • Ensure that gender and protection considerations are effectively addressed during planning, targeting, distributions, monitoring & evaluation, reporting stages
    • Facilitate and conduct staff training and other capacity building activities on gender and protection mainstreaming;
    • Provide guidance in ensuring that all community structures associated with the current project are gender sensitive and protection mainstreamed, include measures to ensure safety from sexual exploitation and abuse;
    • Ensure that there is a system for responding back to affected communities on timely manner and on regular basis and that, with focus on issues from communities that shape programming;
    • collaborate with other program team members, coordinate monthly feedback sessions in the implementation areas to collect complaints, respond to issues to enhance accountability to affected communities and recommend to management any protection and gender concerns;
    • Review the tools, process and systems periodically that allow the program to embed gender sensitivity and transformative approaches in design and implementation processes, adapting based on learning and need;
    • Act as a focal point on gender and protection; Attending and participating in the activities of the protection cluster at community level where possible at county, regional or national level;
    • Conduct/plan regular monitoring visits to projects to observe gender and protection issues and advise management on actions that need to be taken;
    • Document and share best practices on mainstreaming gender and protection in the emergency response;
    • Compile and share regular reports on protection
    • Check that the agreed work by project team or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and follow up on any deficiencies;
    • protect needs and concerns of the target population, with particular attention to especially vulnerable persons

    Minimum requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Sociology
    • A minimum of (3) years of relevant experience in gender equality and inclusion
