    Don Bosco Tech Africa is the coordinating body for all the Don Bosco Technical Schools in Africa and Madagascar. We coordinate about 102 TVET centers spread over 35 countries in Africa and Madagascar. We aim to empower our TVET centers so that they can deliver demand driven and quality training to the marginalized young people who frequent our centers.     Driver

    Under the supervision of the Administration, you will be responsible for driving authorized personnel and delivery and collection services.

    Job Specifications:

    •  A minimum of ‘O’ level D+;
    •  A valid driving license  A, B, C, D
    • PSV license
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a busy office especially in the NGO set up;
    • Be fluent in English Language, written and oral and a good command of Kiswahili;
    • Age between 25 to 45 years

    Communication Manager

    The office is looking for a dedicated Communications Officer to join our team. The Communications Officer will support our internal and external communications strategy, write and disseminate publicity material, respond to inquiries from the public and media, and coordinate promotional events at office level. The officer will report directly to the administrator.

    Job specification:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2 – 3 years’ relevant experience in a communications role.
    • Knowledge of desktop publishing software (InDesign/Photoshop).
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms.
    • Excellent in English verbal, written, and French as an added advantage.
    • Interpersonal skills.
    • Good time management and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication skills in English
    • Is self-motivated, able to work able to accomplish job tasks with little or no supervision.
    • Willingness to travel within and out of the country.

    Accountant

    To establish and manage, the finance and administration functions in DBTA GP Project and develop capacity in the office to carry out these functions.

    The job involves performing accounts and general administrative duties, working in close collaboration with department heads. Ensuring proper financial management, assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and strict adherence to finance and administrative policies. Ensuring proper asset management, procurement, labeling and updating the asset registers. The officer will report directly to the administrator.

    Job specification:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, CPA Level 6, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2 – 3 years’ relevant experience in accounting and finance roles.
    • Excellent in English verbal, written, and French as an added advantage.
    • Interpersonal skills.
    • Good time management and organizational skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms.
    • Is self-motivated, able to work able to accomplish job tasks with little or no supervision.
    • Proven knowledge and skill in budget processes and reporting
    • Willingness to travel within and out of the country.

    Office Assistant

    DBTA is looking for an Office Assistant to be responsible for handling clerical tasks in our office. The recruited person will be handling basic communications, minute taking, greeting clients and visitors, logistics, managing files, updating paperwork and performing other general office clerk duties and errands. The officer will report directly to the administrator.

    Job specification:

    • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience the advertised area
    • Demonstrated ability and experience in office management
    • Excellent computer skills, with knowledge of necessary database development, data entry and analytic software applications.
    • Report writing and presentation.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills in varied groups.
    • Possesses superior written and verbal communication skills in English and French as an added advantage.
    • Is self-motivated, able to work able to accomplish job tasks with little or no supervision.

    Project Officer

    The Project Officer will report and work together with the Program manager to support the development of the Don Bosco Tech capacity building strategies in conjunction with the technical experts in TVET governance, data use and analytics. The Officer will support the capacity building plan and support monitoring, evaluation and learning from the capacity building interventions.

    Job Specification:

    • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Project cycle Management / Human Resource Management
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of capacity building experience with specific focus on  training projects
    • Demonstrated ability to train and build capacity of others.
    • Demonstrated ability and experience in designing M&E tools, surveys, surveillance systems and evaluations.
    • Possesses superior written and verbal communication skills in English and French as an added advantage.
    • Capacity to produce high quality reports and presentation
    • Willingness to travel within and out of the country.
    • Age between 25 to 45 years
