Overall Job Function
Reporting to the Country Director, the Technical Advisor will be responsible for development of ECHO Project, this includes developing clinical teaching material, curricula and case studies and overseeing weekly teleconference sessions.
Key responsibilities:
• To develop the clinical training curriculum and clinical training material
• To present or identify key persons to present patient oriented teleconferences
• To provide clinical guidance for clinical teleconference referrals
• To mentor health care workers at the hub and spoke training centers
• To oversee the quality, monitoring and evaluation of teleconference training and mentorship
Requirements:
• Degree in Medicine
• MMed or MPH, or an advanced relevant degree an added advantage
• At least 3 years of experience managing clinical HIV Care or other chronic illness
LOCATION: Kisumu with travel in Nyanza
Overall job function
Reporting to the Country Director the Technical Advisor QI is a member of the senior technical team and oversees the implementation of 01 Collaborative Project.
Key Responsibilities:
• To oversee the QI project in Kenya
• To provide supervision of the QI project in Kenya
• To coordinate training of facility staff including
• To assist in program monitoring and evaluation
• To liaise with Ministry of Health officials, County officials and other stakeholders in coordinating implementation of the QI program
Requirements:
•Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery or Diploma of Clinical Medicine Masters in Public Health (MPH) or similar degree is desirable 3+ years’ experience in program planning
•Experience with HIV programming
•Familiarity with County/County health care programs in Kenya
•Clinical experience of HIV medicine an advantage
•Strong supervisory and management skills
•Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills
