Reports To: Security Manager

ROLE STATEMENT

Coordinate the development and maintenance of company security standards and monitor the implementation to ensure compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Update Company Security Program (CSP )  and coordinate issuance of appropriate and up to date procedures and work  instructions for security operations network-wide and provide necessary guidance and advisory support for proper implementation. 
• Supervise and provide appropriate guidance to outsourced security services, monitor compliance and competencies against Service Level agreements
• Supervise maintenance of security incident reporting system and liaise with responsible manager for appropriate closure of any findings.
• Undertake research on matters of security interest within the industry and provide relevant guidance on improvement for Jambojet operations.
• Plan and Conduct security inspections and tests of Jambojet security operations and control measures to confirm conformance with regulatory requirements, security procedures, standards and recommended practices.
• Generate monthly, quarterly and yearly security reports on behalf of security management.
• Coordinates and support delivery of AVSEC training within the organization.
• Manage issuance of security-controlled area passes, audit and keep inventory records. Ensure passes are surrendered upon termination and/or resignation.
• Plan and manage duty rosters for security staff ensuring no violations on duty hours

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

• KCSE C and above
• Be a certified AVSEC Instructor
• Diploma or relevant professional qualification.
• At least 5 years of aviation security experience. 
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Organizational, planning & Analytical Skills.
• Investigations and IT knowledge.
• Knowledge of Criminal procedure code, Evidence Act and the Penal Code.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Analyse market trends and passenger demand to identify opportunities for schedule optimization and growth.
• Develop and maintain the airline flight schedules including assigning aircraft to routes and determining flight frequencies and times.
• Monitoring schedule performance and adjusting as needed to ensure optimal efficiency and profitability.
• Working closely with other departments such as Maintenance, Operations, Crew scheduling, Revenue management and finance to ensure that schedules are aligned with the airline’s overall goals and objectives.
• Using scheduling software and other tools to manage data and generate reports that support decision making and strategic planning.
• Conducting research and analysis to evaluate the impact of new routes, aircraft types and other operational changes on the airlines schedule and profitability
• Participating in cross functional teams and working collaboratively with other stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and innovation in scheduling and operations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree in Business, Statistics, Economics or related field
• At least 3 years’ experience in airline operations
• Good understanding of the flight schedule
• Organizational, planning and analytical skills
