    Chief Production Editor, Video & Audio

    Key Responsibilities

    •  Responsible for high-end production that optimises audience experience and engagement across platforms;
    •  Producing engaging digital content and resources for use across all NMG digital, print, and broadcast platforms, ranging from video, photography, graphics, audio, and other multimedia;
    •  Storyboarding, self-shooting, and editing video content to support day-to-day activity and campaigns;
    •  Taking briefs, brainstorming solutions, presenting roughs or visuals, researching and managing production;
    •  Working closely with the Audiences & Engagement team to understand the impact of assets created, test, and iterate as required;
    •  Recommending and piloting new digital content formats and/or platforms;
    •  Identifying content needs, gaps, and requirements;
    •  Developing NMG brand language and visual style;
    •  Hands-on duties related to editing, filming, or recording;
    •  Serving as a project manager as required, coordinating duties of creatives, vendors, and others;
    •  Working closely with the planning desk and brand leads to deliver all assets required in a timely manner;
    •  Managing and negotiating contractual relationships with third-party providers;
    •  Reviewing designers' work to ensure high quality;
    •  Manage team and provide mentorship, coaching, and support.

    Qualifications

    •  Bachelor's degree in communication or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
    •  Seven (7) years of relevant experience in journalism; 3 of which must be digital experience;
    •  Ability to schedule, script, storyboard, record/shoot, edit, and produce audio and video content;
    •  Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite;
    •  Ability to use multimedia content as an emotive and engaging storytelling medium;
    •  Ability to design and build other graphics-based content, including GIFs, banners, interactive graphs and infographics, and other multimedia content as required;
    •  Understanding of digital copywriting and publishing;
    •  Proactive in suggesting new digital solutions;
    •  Knowledge of the current digital landscape and emerging trends;
    •  Good interpersonal and team working skills;
    •  Ability to prioritise;
    •  Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team;
    •  Excellent mentoring skills;
    •  Strong digital & data literacy skills and ability to work closely with data for purposes of audience engagement.

    Editor, Native Content

    Key Responsibilities:

    •  Responsible for quality, effectiveness, and efficiency across all editorially-integrated commercial partnerships;
    •  Optimising skills of the wider production team;
    •  Manage editorial budget for each campaign;
    •  Manage briefing and workflow with the relevant content hubs;
    •  Liaise with Editor, Social, Search & Analytics to generate agreed success metrics;
    •  Post-campaign reporting;
    •  Be 'best-in-field' with regards to processes, excellent client communications, sales pitches, compliance/legal issues, optimising SEO, and use of relevant technology;
    •  Manage campaigns with award-winning ideas, content, quality, and work ethic;
    •  Manage, source, and negotiate talent to front campaigns;
    •  Work with sales and editorial teams to develop proactive sales ide

    Qualifications

    •  Bachelor's degree in Communication or its equivalent from a recognised institution;
    •  Minimum Seven (7) years of relevant experience, with three (3) of those years at the supervisory level;
    •  Proven organisational and communication skills;
    •  Self-motivated, and proactive in making suggestions/improvements;
    •  Excellent client skills and experience, and excellent industry insight (commercial and editorial);
    •  Proactive in generating content ideas;
    •  Strong project management from commissioning, editing, and managing successful projects from pitch to PCA;
    •  Comfortable working to tight deadlines and under pressure and have a can-do, problem-solving attitude;
    •  Experience managing budgets and P&Ls, and scheduling workflows;
    •  Strong digital & data literacy skills and ability to work closely with data for purposes of audience engagement;
    •  Multimedia (images, videos, podcasts, and infographics) editing and production skills;
    •  Data visualisation skills.
