    Stock Controller, Outreach Administration Office

    Responsibilities:

    • In charge of the assigned warehouse and/or Sub Store
    • Service material requests from end users
    • Ensure accurate and timely issue of items
    • Ensure accurate, timely and complete posting and updating of transactions in the system.
    • Stack Items safely and neatly i.e. identifiable and traceable.
    • Ensure that there are no stock-outs by pre-empting the purchaser on items that are running low on stocks.
    • Recommend optimum quantities of items to be replenished.
    • Receiving of inventory from vendors against Purchase Orders, verifying quantity and quality.
    • Accurate and on-time receiving and verification of invoices and forwarding to Finance for processing
    • Assist in maintaining minimum stock days.
    • Verify the quality of goods received from vendors/Warehouse/Sub stores.
    • Adhere to the First Expired First Out (FEFO) method of stock movement.
    • Manage a minimum value of expiries and items being obsolete.
    • Take part in quarterly stock counts
    • Control short expiry items / non-moving and slow-moving items
    • Responsible for overseeing daily temperatures logs – both storage area & fridges (twice a day)

    Requirements:

    • Bachelors/ Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management or its equivalen
    • Membership to Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) or Chartered Institute of Logistics (CILT) or Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) will be an added advantage.
    • At least two years’ working experience in a related field/work environment.
    • Ability to work in team
    • Excellent customer service skills and customer focus
    • Ability to lift heavy boxes, climb and bend
    • Knowledge of warehousing/stocking

    Clinical Nurse, Maternity-Locum

    Responsibilities:

    • Complete initial assessment and re-assessment of obstetric mothers and newborn babies to identify their care needs
    • Document all assessment data, investigation   results, care given, discussions with the multidisciplinary team, family/patient interactions in an accurate, comprehensive and timely manner
    • Develop and implement prepartum, intrapartum, post-partum and newborn care plan
    • Identify mothers at risk using history, hemodynamic monitoring, labor progression, lab and radiological evaluation, and implement appropriate actions
    • Perform and repair episiotomy
    • Repair first and second degree tears.
    • Carry out and interpret Cardiotocography (CTG) and Non stress test (NST) and act on findings
    • Recognize obstetric and neonatal emergencies and involve multidisciplinary team as appropriate
    • Initiate timely initial immunizations for new born as per guidelines.
    • Care for mothers post-surgical procedures
    • Promptly report both clinical and non-clinical unusual findings/incidences
    • Identify patient and family education needs and implement appropriate teaching
    • Provide safe environment for patients through adherence to infection control practices and other safety policies.
    • Participate in quality initiatives including clinical care program certification (CCPC)
    • Follow discharge procedure of assigned patients according to hospital protocol, and ensure follow up appointments are made
    • Participate in unit based nursing education, quality improvement (QI) projects, audits, spot checks and skill checks

    Requirements:

    • RN from a recognized school of nursing or University
    • Current licensure with the Nursing Council of Kenya
    • Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Demonstrate evidence-based knowledge of current practices in Obstetric nursing.

    Locum Nurse-Accident & Emergency

    Responsibilities:

    • Triages each patient using the CETAS criteria and determines priority of care based on physical, psychological and social needs.
    • Identify patients with infectious diseases and initiate appropriate isolation precautions and communicate as appropriate.
    • Perform focused assessment of chief complaints of each patient in a timely manner according to established triage guidelines
    • Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients in the emergency room
    • Complete head to toe assessment and re-assessment of patients to identify their care needs.
    • Carry out hemodynamic monitoring to include vital signs, neurological and fluid status; labs and radiological evaluations
    • Document all assessment data, investigation  results, care given, discussions with the
    • multidisciplinary  team, family/patient interactions in an accurate, comprehensive and timely manner
    • Administer medication safely, monitor patient responses to medication and promptly report adverse reactions.
    • Dispose of clinical and non-clinical waste safely in accordance with Aga Khan University
    • Hospital Guidelines on waste management
    • Assist patients with activities of daily living as identified
    • Prepare for and assist physicians to perform various procedures such as insertion of invasive lines
    • Maintain adequate airway management to include oxygen therapy, nebulization and suctioning
    • Prepare patients for various investigations including lab and radiological imaging.
    • Collect specimens in emergency situations and ensure correct labeling.
    • Perform pain assessment and reassessment, and initiate analgesia as per protocol
    • Promptly report both clinical and non-clinical unusual findings/incidences to the nurse manager, team leader or physician
    • Identify patient and family education needs and implement appropriate teaching
    • Provide safe environment for patients through adherence to infection control practices and other safety policies.
    • Perform timely safety checks on equipment as per guidelines
    • Be accountable for judicious  use of resources and ensure accurate  and timely billing  of supplies.
    • Care for equipment  through  cleaning, storage,  per shift check of the inventory  and timely reporting  and follow up of non-functional equipment  to the nurse manager
    • Participates in unit based continuing education, quality improvement (QI) projects, audits, spot checks and skill checks.

    Requirements

    • RN from a recognized school of nursing school or University
    • Current licensure with the Nursing Council of Kenya
    • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
    • Demonstrate evidence-based knowledge of current practices in emergency nursing.
    • Excellent written and Verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
    • Demonstrate Critical thinking and Analytical skills
