    AIC Kijabe as is known today was established in 1915 as a small outpatient clinic within the grounds of the Rift Valley Academy and was originally named Theodora Hospital. The hospital celebrated its centenary in May 2015 and is a multi-specialty facility currently with a bed capacity of 363, serving patients from all over Kenya and other African countries. KH is a faith-based hospital sponsored by the Africa Inland Church, Kenya, and has recently been classified as a level 6BNational Tertiary Teaching and Referral Hospital.

    HR Officer- Talent Acquisition

    Key Responsibilities

    • Undertaking human resource planning for all staff to ensure that they are optimally engaged
    • Reviewing job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirement
    • Creating and posting open positions adverts on AIC Kijabe Hospital Website
    • Reviewing job applications and shortlisting candidates for all units
    • Assist in coordinating and conducting interviews
    • Performing employee background checks and verification of academic & professional certification
    • Ensuring all new members of staff are properly oriented and inducted in the operations of the organisation
    • Conducting end of probation evaluations and giving appropriate feedback to the staff being evaluated

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution
    • Must be highly proficient in use of MS office packages
    • Must be a member of IHRM and in good standing
    • Must possess high degree of confidentiality and integrity

    Lay Patient Navigator

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Coordinate care for patients who are managed by multi-disciplinary teams to ensure actions are swiftly implemented
    • Guide patients to and between different service points to reduce confusion and time wasted getting lost
    • Monitor registration and waiting areas for congestion, provide patients with realistic wait-time expectations using the structured data available
    • Serve as sources of real-time feedback to departmental heads and Quality Management before they require formal written complaints.
    • Collect patient feedback across the institution

    Applicants Qualifications, Experience, Competencies and Attributes

    • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
    • Discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive conversations or escalating complaints
    • Problem solving & Innovative approach to challenges
