    Senior Security Engineer

    KEY PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Designs and implements IAM solutions and systems
    • Deploy and manage security tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and vulnerability management platforms
    • Develop and maintain security baselines, hardening standards, and configuration guidelines
    • Monitor security events and investigate potential incidents
    • Perform security code reviews and application security assessments
    • Maintain compliance with security frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, etc.)
    • Support internal and external security audits
    • Develop and update security policies, procedures, and documentation
    • Perform threat hunting activities to proactively identify security risks
    • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
    • Implements security policies and best practices
    • Provides deep technical expertise and leadership for resolving incidents
    • Leads access certifications and audits
    • Proactively addresses security issues to prevent audit findings and privilege gaps

    ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field.

    JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

    • Knowledge of common security challenges, such as data privacy, compliance, access control, encryption, and incident response
    • Experience in network security, such as firewalls or VPNs
    • Knowledge of encryption techniques, such as symmetric, asymmetric, hashing, etc. and how they should be applied to infrastructure
    • Ability to design, implement and run monitoring and alerting platforms, to track and troubleshoot the security, performance and health of infrastructure components
    • Vulnerability & Threat management, incident response, Governance, Risk & Compliance
    • Conversant with GDPR, Kenya Data Protection Act, ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA
    • Experience with containerization and Kubernetes security
    • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD security
    • Knowledge of threat intelligence platforms and MITRE ATT&CK framework
    • Background in security automation and orchestration (SOAR)

    PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC, OSCP, or similar)

    EXPERIENCE

    • 8–10 years’ relevant experience

    Senior Actuarial Analyst

    KEY PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Financial & Regulatory Reporting

    • Production and review of IFRS 17 valuation results and associated disclosures.
    • Production and Review of statutory filings in accordance with Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA), and Management Reports for internal consumption (VNB, VIF, EV, etc).
    • Collaborate with finance to align actuals vs budget and improve monthly close efficiency.

    Experience Monitoring

    • Perform periodic claims experience analyses to guide pricing, reserving assumptions, and give recommendations for management actions.

    Capital Modelling

    • Run capital adequacy assessments under local solvency regulations. Produce Capital Adequacy reports with recommendations to management.

    Pricing & Product Development

    • Pricing of new individual and group life products, ensuring alignment with profitability, competitiveness, and regulatory standards.
    • Enhance pricing tools and profitability testing models.
    • Develop bespoke schemes for corporate clients, affinity groups, and pension providers.

    Budgeting & Strategy Actuarial Inputs

    Provide Actuarial results towards IFRS 17 Budgets and assist in five-year business planning with actuarial projection models. Work closely with the Finance team to ensure these processes are a success.

    ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or related field. A master’s degree in actuarial management will be an added advantage.

    JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

    Technical Skills

    • Proficient in actuarial modelling tools (e.g. Basys, RiskIntegrity, Advanced Excel Skills, VBA, Python, R, PowerBI).
    • Advanced analytical skills and business insight.
    • Familiarity with Power BI or other dashboarding tools is a plus.

    Behavioural Attributes

    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
    • Able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities under minimal supervision.
    • Effective communicator—both written and verbal—with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Mentorship mindset and a collaborative team player.

    PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • Progress toward actuarial qualification (minimum: 10 papers).

    Experience

    • Minimum 8 years actuarial experience in life insurance. Experience leading analysts will be an added advantage.
    • Strong experience in IFRS 17 valuation and reporting.
    • Experience in calculating VIF, VNB and Embedded Value.
    • Understanding of Asset-Liability Management Process.

    Assitant Business Developer

    KEY PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Raising debit and credit notes as assigned;
    • Developing timely motor certificate/cover notes declarations for all concerned intermediaries;
    • Addressing client/customers equerries and feedback within the timelines stipulated in service charter and/or SLAs signed with respective clients.
    • Preparing policy documents and other relevant documents
    • Supporting in premiums collections
    • Participating in company CSR and brand building activities in liais on with other departments.
