    Senior Associate, Dispute Resolution

    Qualifications, Experience, and knowledge:

    • An LL.B Degree with at least Second Class Upper Division from a recognized university.
    • Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant post-admission experience in a reputable law firm.
    • Proven ability to manage client matters independently, including supervision of junior lawyers.
    • Demonstrated experience handling and managing complex civil, commercial, and constitutional litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution matters.
    • In-depth understanding of court procedures, case strategy development, and evidence management.
    • Strong advocacy experience before superior courts and tribunals.
    • Ability to manage client portfolios, develop litigation strategies, and lead case teams effectively.
    • Exposure to complex corporate/ commercial disputes, debt recovery, and enforcement proceedings will be an added advantage.
    • Excellent legal drafting, research, analytical, and negotiation skills.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and client-relationship management abilities.

    Senior Associate – Real Estate, Banking & Finance

    Qualifications, Experience, and knowledge:

    • An LL.B Degree with at least Second Class Upper Division from a recognized university.
    • Admission to the Bar as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and holder of a valid Practising Certificate.
    • Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant post-admission experience in a reputable law firm.
    • Proven ability to manage client matters independently, including supervision of junior lawyers.
    • Demonstrated experience in real estate transactions, conveyancing, property development, and land-related due diligence.
    • Strong advisory skills in banking, finance, securities, and lending transactions, including perfection of securities and regulatory compliance.
    • Proven experience acting for banks, financial institutions, and property developers.
    • Ability to draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including facility agreements, charges, leases, and joint venture agreements.
    • Familiarity with real estate investment structures and project financing will be an added advantage.
    • Excellent legal drafting, research, analytical, and negotiation skills.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and client-relationship management abilities.
    • Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, and keen attention to detail.
    • Experience in drafting and negotiating sale and purchase transactions including project work as well as commercial leases and all ardhisasa related assignments.
    • Good working knowledge of bank securities perfection process
    • Working knowledge of conveyancing, court rules, and land registry procedures.
    • Strong understanding of Kenyan real estate law and conveyancing procedures.
    • Support business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service delivery.

    Senior Associate, Corporate/Commercial

    Qualifications, Experience, and knowledge:

    • An LL.B Degree with at least Second Class Upper Division from a recognized university.
    • Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant post-admission experience in a reputable law firm.
    • Proven ability to manage client matters independently, including supervision of junior lawyers.
    • Proven experience in corporate structuring, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity, and commercial transactions.
    • Expertise in entity set-up and registration (local and cross-border), corporate governance, and company secretarial support.
    • Strong advisory experience in regulatory compliance, licensing, and sector-specific frameworks such as financial services, real estate, ICT, and energy.
    • Advise clients on a broad range of commercial law matters including contract law, company law, energy, mining, projects and PPPs, capital markets, M&A, employment, and regulatory compliance.
    • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements including shareholders’ agreements, joint ventures, service agreements, procurement contracts, and technology contracts.
    • Undertake legal due diligence processes, deal structuring, and execution of corporate transactions.
    • Provide strategic legal advisory on employment matters, data protection, ESG, and anti-bribery compliance.
    • Strong knowledge and practical experience in Data Protection, Cybersecurity, Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), and Fintech.
    • Advise on structuring of businesses including family-owned-businesses, multinationals, not- for- profit organizations etc.
    • Support business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service delivery.
