    Data Analyst - Global Sourcing

    Job Purpose

    • As the Data analyst - Sourcing, you will support Global product sourcing and align sourcing processes across markets.
    • Reporting to the Senior Sourcing Manager, your responsibilities will support supplier relationship management (OEM/Distributor/Dealer) and new product transition in close liaison with Market Development.

    What will you do:

    Product/Accessories Sourcing.

    • You will lead in the multi-sourcing of phone accessories across markets and ensure all accessories are approved before sourcing. You will also keep track and ensure minimal dead stock due to EOL devices.
    • You will obtain quotes from different suppliers (Whole sellers and retail outlets) to allow maintaining a tracker on price movements in the markets to help with supplier product negotiations.
    • You will support new distributor/Supplier onboarding with close collaboration with our Procurement and Legal department, and ensure all expiring supplier contracts are re-negotiated and renewed in good time.

    Product management

    • You will assist to manage the new phone model transition in close liaison with Market Development.
    • You will ensure test samples are received and test plans uploaded in good time.

    Certifications

    • You will follow up with OEM to ensure Type approval certificates are in place before the start of sales in each country.
    • You will maintain an updated TA tracker for all markets.

    Material Supply Planning

    • You will coordinate with our Planning Team to ensure all suppliers' POs are released per the agreed supplier terms to avoid product delivery delays.
    • You will ensure supplier deliveries are following communicated delivery plan and update the subsequent sourcing trackers

    Supplier relationship

    • You will oversee tracking OEM activations targets and working with our warehouse teams to ensure our targets are achieved.
    • You will rebate tracking and follow up with OEM/MNO to ensure credit notes are received.

    Other Stakeholder support

    • You will offer the necessary support to our Market Development and Security Team during the product testing process.
    • You will provide supplier support for all ongoing and new products.
    • You will perform any other responsibilities that shall be reasonably assigned by management.

    What We're Looking For:

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related field.
    • 2 years of experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain, Demand Planning/Forecasting role
    • Project management, planning, and organizing skills. Able to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to communicate effectively with suppliers, staff, and partners, and write and submit reports.
    • Proficiency in MS excel (can perform complex functions).
    • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain positive professional relationships with suppliers and vendors.
    • Understand the sourcing and evaluation process.
    • Understand the aspects of logistics and the capacity management of products.
    • Demonstrated experience working with Suppliers and managing supplier relationships

    Senior Lead - Inventory

    Job Purpose

    You will be responsible for leading a team of inventory and warehouse officers to manage and oversee inventory control and stock management within M-KOPA Warehouse. Your responsibilities are to ensure the efficient tracking, maintenance, and organization of inventory, as well as leading a team to achieve nil stock variances.

    You will report to the Warehouse Operations Manager. This is an on-site role in Nairobi, Central Business Park.

    Key Job Functions

    Inventory Tracking and Record-Keeping 

    • Ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels, both incoming and outgoing. This involves monitoring stock levels and making sure that the data on systems and trackers is up-to-date.
    • Conduct cycle counts, including researching and documenting inventory discrepancies, to identify root causes and propose solutions.
    • Coordinate the fulfillment of daily orders by ensuring proper stock supply planning from the Ready-For-Sale (RFS) and sourcing team and proper order planning for RFS's units
    • Leveraging inventory management systems in place to streamline processes and maintain accurate stock records at all times.
    • Own the creation of part numbers and descriptions on the inventory management systems.

    Optimize warehouse and storage 

    • Optimize inventory systems as well as warehouse layout to determine how quickly and easily accessible stock is for efficient picking methods.
    • Determine aged stock seating in the warehouse.
    • Implementing inventory control processes to minimize losses due to theft, damage, or obsolescence.
    • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance inventory management efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards related to inventory management.

    Reporting and documentation

    • Manage the inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments, and stock levels.
    • Generate reports on inventory performance, such as transactions, stock levels, and other relevant metrics, to inform decision-making.
    • Perform daily audits and publish daily reports to ensure the accuracy of system quantities in all warehouse locations.
    • Conducting weekly audits to verify the accuracy of inventory records and identify discrepancies.

    Supervisory responsibilities

    • Provide training and support to inventory officers to ensure they are knowledgeable about inventory processes and best practices.
    • Oversee the job assignments and activities of the inventory control staff. 
    • Collaborate with the warehouse operations manager to provide performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

    Experience/ Skills & Competencies/ Licences & Certifications/ Education Required

    • 3 + years experience in managing logistical and warehouse operations
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
    • People leadership and management experience in any similar capacity
    • Deep understanding of Warehouse Management Systems
    • Good understanding of Kaizen to implement the 6s standards
    • Understanding raw material inventory and the movement of finished goods
    • Track record of hitting tight deadlines without compromising on quality of execution
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to communicate with all levels of leadership and drive action
    • Integrity and openness, combined with a commitment to good governa
