    Nurse - 2 Posts

    Responsibilities

    Clinical Care

    • Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history.
    • Provide nursing care for minor ailments, chronic conditions, and emergencies.
    • Administer medications, injections, and vaccines as prescribed.
    • Provide maternal and child health services, including antenatal and postnatal care.
    • Offer first aid and stabilize patients prior to referral when required.

    Health Promotion & Community Outreach

    • Educate patients and the community on hygiene, nutrition, family planning, and disease prevention.
    • Participate in immunization programs, health talks, and outreach activities.
    • Promote treatment adherence and follow-up care.

    Dispensary Management

    • Maintain accurate patient records, registers, and reports.
    • Manage medical supplies and ensure proper storage and stock control.
    • Support routine reporting and audits as required by relevant authorities.

    Compliance & Professional Development

    • Adhere to MoH protocols, infection prevention, and control guidelines.
    • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional ethics.
    • Participate in continuous professional development activities.

    Minimum qualifications & Experience

    • Registered Nurse with a valid Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) license.
    • Diploma  in Nursing from a recognized institution.
    • Minimum of two (2) years’ clinical experience, preferably in a dispensary or community health setting.
    • Knowledge of public health practices, immunization schedules, and record-keeping.

    Clinical Officer

    Key Responsibilities

    Clinical Care

    • Assess patients, take medical histories, conduct examinations and provide appropriate diagnosis and treatment within scope of practice.
    • Provide first aid, emergency stabilization, follow-up care and referrals where necessary.
    • Prescribe and dispense medicines in line with approved clinical guidelines.
    • Provide health education and maintain patient confidentiality.

    Preventive & Primary Healthcare

    • Promote healthy practices, preventive care and wellness among the Lions Strength community.
    • Support health screening, awareness, counselling, infection prevention and community health activities.

    Dispensary & Medicines Management

    • Maintain a clean, organized and adequately equipped dispensary.
    • Manage medicines, medical supplies and consumables, including stock levels, expiry dates, storage and disposal.
    • Maintain accurate dispensing and stock records and promptly report shortages or other concerns.

    Medical Records & Reporting

    • Maintain accurate, secure and confidential patient records covering consultations, treatment, referrals and follow-ups.
    • Prepare routine clinical reports and provide relevant anonymized health information for organizational planning.

     Referral & External Health Services

    • Maintain referral linkages with hospitals, laboratories, specialists and other healthcare providers.
    • Coordinate and follow up referrals and support emergency transfers when required.

    Occupational & Campus Health

    • Provide first aid and clinical support for workplace and campus-related injuries and illnesses.
    • Support health, safety, emergency preparedness and other authorized workplace health initiatives.
    • Provide appropriate general health advice to management while protecting patient confidentiality.

    Professional & Compliance Responsibilities

    • Comply with Kenyan laws, professional standards, clinical guidelines and Lions Strength policies.
    • Maintain valid professional registration/licensing and undertake continuing professional development.
    • Uphold ethical conduct, safeguarding, confidentiality, data protection and non-discrimination requirements.
    • Report safeguarding concerns, serious incidents and other risks through appropriate channels.

    Minimum qualifications

    • Diploma or degree in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or an equivalent qualification recognized in Kenya.
    • Valid registration with the relevant professional regulatory body.
    • Valid practising licence.
    • Must have valid professional indemnity insurance or be willing to obtain and maintain such insurance as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable professional and regulatory requirements.
    • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or First Aid will be an advantage.
    • At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in a dispensary, health centre, clinic or similar primary healthcare setting.
    • Experience in outpatient consultation, treatment, referrals and medical record management.
    • Good knowledge of primary healthcare and infection prevention and control.

    Community Health Assistant

    Responsibilities
    Community Health Services

    • Mobilize community members for health services, immunization, and outreach programs.
    • Conduct household visits to promote hygiene, sanitation, nutrition, and disease prevention. 
    • Support maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health initiatives.

    Health Education & Promotion

    • Deliver health education sessions on priority public health issues.
    • Promote treatment adherence, referrals, and follow-up care within the community. 

    Data Collection & Reporting

    • Collect, record, and submit community health data and reports using approved MoH tools. 
    • Maintain accurate records of community activities and referrals.

    Coordination & Compliance

    • Work closely with dispensary staff and community health volunteers (CHVs).
    • Adhere to MoH guidelines, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements.
    • Participate in training, meetings, and continuous professional development.

    Must Have

    • Certificate or Diploma in Community Health or Public Health from a recognized institution.
    • Registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
    • At least one (1) year experience in community health or public health programs preferred.

    Health Records Officer

    Responsibilities

    Health Records Management

    • Register patients and create, update, and maintain outpatient (OPD) records.
    • Ensure proper filing, retrieval, and secure storage of patient records.
    • Maintain dispensary service registers, including OPD, MCH, immunization, and referral registers.

    Data & Reporting

    • Compile and submit routine health data using approved Ministry of Health (MoH) reporting tools.
    • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of records and reports.

    Confidentiality & Compliance

    • Uphold patient confidentiality and ethical handling of health information.
    • Adhere to MoH policies, data protection requirements, and dispensary record-keeping guidelines.

    Support Services

    • Provide timely access to patient records to support clinical service delivery.
    • Support routine supervision, audits, and data quality improvement activities at the dispensary.

    Minimum qualifications & Experience

    • Diploma in Health Records and Information Management (HRIM) or a related field.
    • Registration with the Health Records and Information Managers Board (HRIMB) (will be an added advantage).
    • At least one (1) year experience in a primary healthcare or dispensary setting preferred.

    Medical Laboratory Technologist

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct routine laboratory tests accurately and promptly, including specimen collection, processing, analysis, and reporting.
    • Ensure proper patient identification, specimen handling, storage, referral, and disposal in line with approved procedures.
    • Maintain laboratory quality assurance and quality control standards and promptly report critical results, errors, and incidents.
    • Operate, clean, maintain, and monitor laboratory equipment, ensuring timely reporting of faults and servicing needs.
    • Manage laboratory reagents, consumables, and supplies, including stock monitoring, proper storage, and expiry-date checks.
    • Maintain accurate laboratory records, registers, test results, statistics, and routine reports, including electronic health information systems where applicable.
    • Maintain high standards of infection prevention, laboratory safety, PPE use, and biomedical waste management.
    • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional, ethical, and safeguarding standards.
    • Work collaboratively with clinical and other health facility staff to support effective patient care and referrals.

    Minimum qualifications

    • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences/Technology from a recognised institution.
    • Must be registered and licensed to practise in Kenya by the relevant regulatory authority.
    • Must hold a valid practising licence.
    • Relevant experience in a hospital, health centre, dispensary, NGO, or community health setting will be an added advantage.
    • Experience working in a remote or rural setting will be an advantage.
    • Good computer, communication, record-keeping, and reporting skills.

    Line Accountant

    Responsibilities

    Financial Recording & Transaction Management

    • Record daily financial transactions in line with approved accounting standards.
    • Process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and petty cash transactions.
    • Ensure all transactions are supported by complete and accurate documentation.
    • Maintain up-to-date ledgers and journals, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

    Banking & Reconciliation

    • Prepare monthly bank, cash, and mobile money reconciliations.
    • Track and reconcile advances and supplier accounts.
    • Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of reconciliation variances.

    Budgeting & Cost Control

    • Support the preparation of departmental and project budgets.
    • Track expenditure against budget lines and flag variances early.

    Payroll & Statutory Compliance

    • Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely payment of salaries.

    Financial Reporting & Audit Support

    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.

    Asset & Inventory Coordination

    • Maintain updated asset registers and support periodic asset verification.
    • Collaborate with procurement and store teams to track inventory movement and valuation.

    Systems & Compliance

    • Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and donor financial requirements.
    • Maintain a high level of accuracy, transparency, and integrity in financial processes.
    • Use the Odoo ERP system for financial entries, reconciliation, and reporting (training can be provided).

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
    • CPA Section 2/3 and above. CPA(K) will be an added advantage.
    • At least 4 years of hands-on accounting experience with community development projects in rural Kenya, preferably in NGOs or donor-funded projects.
    • Proven experience with reconciliations, reporting, and financial controls.
    • Proficiency in accounting software; knowledge of Odoo ERP is an added advantage.

    Bootcamp Guide

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities:

    Training Delivery & Facilitation

    • Lead the design and delivery of daily Bootcamp sessions, ensuring alignment with the program curriculum and learning outcomes.
    • Facilitate interactive, practical, and learner-centered training experiences that combine theory, application, and real-world problem-solving.
    • Adapt teaching methods and pace to accommodate learners’ diverse backgrounds and learning needs.
    • Supervise and mentor assistant trainers, facilitators, and peer mentors involved in the Bootcamp.

    Curriculum Implementation & Quality Assurance

    • Ensure all modules, exercises, and assessments are effectively implemented according to the set schedule.
    • Monitor learner performance and participation, identifying areas that require additional support or intervention.
    • Evaluate students work and provide timely feedback to learners and ensure consistent progress tracking.
    • Maintain a high standard of instructional quality and professionalism throughout the program.

    Learner Engagement & Support

    • Create an inclusive, motivating, and safe learning environment that encourages participation and growth.
    • Provide weekly one-on-one guidance and coaching to learners.
    • Facilitate teamwork, collaboration, and peer learning among participants.
    • Address learner concerns, challenges, and feedback promptly.

    Reporting & Coordination

    • Coordinate with the Education Program Director to ensure smooth Bootcamp operations.
    • Submit daily or weekly progress reports highlighting learner performance, attendance, and any challenges.
    • Evaluate and improve the training content and delivery method

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Graduate of the Learning Lions Bootcamp Training Program.
    • Successfully completed the Training of Trainers (TTT) Program and served as a Coach in at least two Mobile LEAP cohorts.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor, guide, and support students, Apprentices, and Coaches.
    • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners and stakeholders effectively.
    • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic learning environment.
    • A collaborative mindset, high level of professionalism, and commitment to Learning Lions' mission of youth empowerment and digital skills development.
