Key Responsibilities

Research & Analysis

• Conduct LMIC market and landscape research to assess opportunities, challenges, and competitive positioning.
• Analyze data on healthcare markets, delivery models, and financing mechanisms to generate actionable insights.
• Support the development of value propositions, market access strategies, and launch plans tailored to LMIC contexts.
• Synthesize findings into clear outputs (reports, memos, slide decks) that inform partner decision-making.

Client & Stakeholder Support

• Contribute to the preparation of high-quality partner deliverables, including presentations, reports, and briefing documents.
• Support meetings, workshops, and strategy sessions by preparing materials and capturing key insights.
• Track stakeholder perspectives and emerging developments in the global health ecosystem relevant to partner work.
• Represent the team professionally in partner interactions, contributing to clear and solutions-oriented communications.

Team Contribution & Learning

• Collaborate closely with colleagues at all levels to deliver high-quality work on time.
• Take ownership of assigned work packages and proactively communicate progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Build knowledge of LMIC healthcare systems, access challenges, and relevant global health domains.
• Contribute to internal initiatives that strengthen the Advisory practice, including frameworks, trackers, templates, and rituals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience with exposure to LMIC healthcare settings (consulting, global health, life sciences, pharma, or healthcare-focused finance).
• Strong skills in research, analysis, and synthesis — able to transform complex information into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including experience engaging senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
• Nice-to-have: experience in LMIC healthcare sectors (e.g., vaccines, diagnostics, essential medicines), innovative financing models, go-to-market strategy, or partnerships with ministries, NGOs, or funders.

The Opportunity

As our CFO, you'll be more than a financial steward; you'll be a strategic partner, an architect of impact, and a driving force behind our global mission. This isn't a traditional finance role. You'll be at the forefront of:

• Securing Capital: Leading equity, debt, and impact financing rounds, attracting investment from VCs, DFIs, and global health funders.
• Structuring Innovation: Designing and managing innovative financing solutions, including a revolving credit fund to empower healthcare buyers in LMICs.
• Building Scalability: Optimizing our revenue model, ensuring financial sustainability, and navigating complex financial landscapes across multiple geographies.
• Driving Impact: Working closely with the CEO, leadership team, and investors to ensure every financial decision aligns with our mission to improve healthcare equity.
• Building a Legacy: Cultivating a high-performing finance team and establishing robust financial systems to support our exponential growth.

What You Bring

• A high-growth finance leader: You have 12+ years of experience, including 5+ years in a senior finance role (CFO, SVP Finance, or similar top seniority), ideally in a startup, marketplace, fintech, or global health organization.
• A hands-on executor: You’re just as comfortable building financial models and excel budgeting as you are pitching investors or closing a funding round.
• Deep expertise in corporate finance & capital raising: You’ve fully led fundraising from VCs, structured debt deals, managed investor funds, and optimized capital allocation at scale.
• Expertise in corporate finance: 7+ years of experience on global accounting and reporting across multiple entities, including transfer pricing structures and complying with different tax regulations.
• Impact finance & credit tools experience You understand impact investing, credit risk assessment, and blended finance models—bonus points if you've worked with DFIs or health financing institutions.
• Strategic yet scrappy: You can think big and move fast, balancing financial strategy with execution in a dynamic, startup environment. Adapt quickly to change and roll up your sleeves to get work done.
• Strong communicator & stakeholder manager: You can engage investors, funders, regulators, and internal teams with clarity and influence.
