    Parent Fee Support Intern

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Key responsibilities for the role include:

    Family engagement through email

    • Respond to family emails coming in through Zendesk.
    • Support  email communication strategies to manage and assist in collecting delinquent debtors
    • Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers at all times
    • Ensure customer queries are responded to within agreed timelines
    • Escalation of queries that require to 
    • Maintain weekly statistics on Zendesk response times and apparent satisfaction
    • Ensure records of customer interactions, comments, complaints and transactions are maintained

    Family engagement on phone

    • Answer calls from parents using the company work lines.
    • Support call and text  strategies to manage and assist in collecting delinquent accounts
    • Maintain a positive, friendly,  empathetic and professional attitude towards customers at all times
    • Ensure family calls are attended to within agreed timelines
    • Maintain weekly call statistics
    • Ensure records of customer phone  interactions, comments, complaints and transactions are maintained

    Family Statement Updates

    • Respond to all statement update requests from families on email and calls offering assurance and progress updates
    • Update all requests for the finance team to update the family statements
    • Follow up with finance to ensure all requested updates are executed
    • Escalate any concerns regarding statements updates that present a challenge
    • Close out all statement requests with families once they have been finalised.

    General

    • Support financial clearance and gating at the start of the school term for any students with arrears and who show up to school.
    • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Nova Pioneer by suggesting and implementing measures that increase productivity, reduce costs and raise customer service levels
    • Maintain an effective and productive working relationship with the Finance team and contribute to activities to improve interaction and collaboration with the Finance team 
    • Achieve and maintain proficiency with the system and tools required to perform duties 
    • Other duties as assigned by the Global Collections Manager, which may include (but not limited to) assisting with billings during peak times.

    ABOUT YOU

    Skills, Experience & Qualifications required:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree (in Business preferred)
    • CPA (K) or Finalist or it's equivalent (ACCA, CA etc)
    • Volunteer or past internship experience in customer-facing roles is desirable. 
    • Volunteer or past internship experience in a startup or in a company that gives you significant autonomy and responsibility is a plus!
    • Results-driven: goal-oriented, moves fast and takes ownership of work.
    • Eager to learn and accepts feedback as a positive step to professional growth.

    Laboratory Technician

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Key responsibilities for the role include:

    • Liaising with science teaching staff on their needs for practical work and maintain an efficient system for the use and allocation of materials and equipment, setting a priority system where necessary.
    • Advising science teaching staff on technical components of the curriculum.
    • Assisting science teaching staff with demonstrations.
    • Assisting science teaching staff in instructing students on the use/care of equipment.
    • Advising and assist science teaching staff in safety matters relating to the science laboratory.
    • Demonstrating laboratory techniques to science teaching staff/students.
    • Setting out equipment and materials for the classroom/department.
    • Using clear classroom demonstrations.
    • Maintaining a safe chemical storage/handling/disposal system in accordance with current regulations.
    • Assisting with the security of the science laboratory and equipment.
    • Maintaining an inventory of equipment and annual stocktaking.
    • Keeping a record of the consumables used regularly and maintain adequate supplies of them (including chemicals).
    • Acquiring relevant catalogs and price lists.
    • Ordering equipment and chemicals in consultation with the manager.
    • Assisting with labeling, storage, stock-taking and ordering of equipment and chemicals.
    • Servicing and clean simple laboratory apparatus/equipment.
    • Developing maintenance procedures for laboratory equipment and organize maintenance where required.
    • Reporting damages to equipment and arrange repairs.
    • Conducting safety audits for the laboratories.
    • Evaluating and selecting equipment, and make recommendations for purchase to Science Coordinator.

    ABOUT YOU

    Skills and Qualifications required:

    • Diploma or certificate in Science Laboratory Technology in Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized institution.
    • You possess 1-3 years of working experience in a recognized secondary school or equivalent institution.
    • You are able to prepare students’ practical work up to 8-4-4 level with minimum supervision.
    • You are flexible and open to change - you handle uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity well.
    • You are a problem solver - you are proactive in identifying issues and address these thoroughly by making effort to find appropriate solutions.

    High School Chemistry Teacher (Tatu Girls)

    About The Role

    Key responsibilities for the role include:

    • Teaching the subject of specialization i.e. Chemistry.
    • Maintain positive, constructive and professional relationships with students, their families and colleagues.
    • Develop lessons plans and partner with the Learning Design Team in reviewing and updating lessons when required/ desired.
    • Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, is developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students and maintain an organized and focused learning environment.
    • Infuse joy and passion for learning in lessons so that students are excited and interested in their academic excellence.
    • Provide necessary accommodations and modifications for the growth and success of all students, both in academic and culture expectations.
    • Be accountable for students’ mastery of content and academic standards.
    • Integrate interactive technology into lessons to enhance instructional delivery.
    • Set and communicate rigorous and ambitious goals for all students and provide effective student feedback so they internalize them.
    • Provide consistent rewards and/or consequences for student behavior and model expected behaviour at all times for students to emulate
    • Consistently meet the ambitious goals of a rapidly-growing organization
    • Serve as teacher on duty and/or boarding teacher on duty and support school wide programs aimed at behavior interventions.
    • Timely capture of students data on academic outcomes and articulation of students progress to NP families and other stakeholders when called upon to do so.
    • Support clubs, societies and other core-curricular enrichments at the school aimed at building all rounded students.
    • Serve as a home room teacher when called upon to do so.

    About You

    Skills and Qualifications required:

    • You have a TSC certificate
    • A Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Education to teach Chemistry.
    • You have 1-2 years of teaching experience.
    • You have good working skills with technology such as Word, Powerpoint and Excel
    • You are a great communicator. You are able to provide clear and effective written and verbal communication.
    • You are flexible and open to change - you handle uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity well.
    • You are a problem solver - you are proactive in identifying issues and address these thoroughly by making an effort to find appropriate solutions.
