    Hair and Beauty Cosmetology Trainer

    • As a Hair and Beauty Trainer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, industry-relevant training to students in the Cosmetology department. Your focus will be on ensuring that the curriculum is effectively taught and aligned with national standards, preparing students for certification and success in their careers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Curriculum Development & Training: Collaborate with the Head of Department (HOD) and
    • Principal to develop and implement comprehensive training programs that meet curriculum standards and industry needs. Student Instruction: Provide hands-on training in all aspects of cosmetology, ensuring students gain practical and theoretical skills.
    • Classroom Management: Maintain accurate class attendance registers, ensuring punctuality and engagement.
    • Inventory & Equipment Management: Keep a detailed record of tools and equipment issued to students, ensuring proper usage, maintenance, and safety.
    • Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols within the workshop during practical lessons to ensure a safe learning environment.
    • Reporting & Feedback: Regularly report to the HOD on lesson progress, student performance, and any concerns, offering constructive suggestions for improvement.
    • Facility Maintenance: Ensure that the training environment is clean, well-organized, and conducive to learning.
    • Administrative Support: Assist with exam preparations, result analysis, and related logistics. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to decision-making processes. 
    • Inventory & Purchases: Support the preparation of requisitions and maintain up-to-date inventories of training materials and equipment.

    Qualifications:

    • Diploma in Hair and Beauty (Cosmetology). NITA Grade I or its equivalent qualification. Kenya School of TVET Pedagogical Training Certificate.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cosmetology training at a recognized institution. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a creative and innovative approach to teaching.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with students and colleagues alike.

    Assistant Procurement Officer

    • As the Assistant Procurement Officer, you will play a key role in assisting with the procurement processes at the institute. You will help manage supplier relationships, process purchase orders, ensure compliance with procurement policies, and maintain accurate records. Additionally, you will work closely with the Finance and Administration department to ensure the smooth execution of procurement-related activities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Procurement Planning: Assist in the preparation and development of procurement plans and strategies to meet the institute’s operational needs. Supplier Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate terms, and maintain ongoing supplier relationships.
    • Processing: Process purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring the delivery of goods and services within the required timelines. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date procurement records and files, ensuring that all transactions are properly documented.
    • Compliance: Ensure that all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with the institute’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Reporting: Assist in preparing procurement reports and supporting documentation for audits and reviews. 

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

    Gardener/Cleaner

    • As a Gardener/Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the institute’s premises, including both indoor and outdoor spaces. You will also take on gardening duties to enhance the beauty of the grounds, ensuring a pleasant environment for students, staff, and visitors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Cleaning & Maintenance: Ensure the institute’s buildings and grounds are clean, well- maintained, and presentable at all times.
    • Gardening: Perform routine gardening tasks, such as planting, watering, weeding, pruning, and mowing to maintain the institute's outdoor spaces.
    • Waste Management: Properly manage and dispose of waste, ensuring the institute follows good waste management practices.

    ICT Trainer

    • As an ICT Trainer, you will conduct training needs assessments, design and deliver training programs, and continuously update and improve training materials. You will be expected to deliver effective training in the classroom, online, or informally, and also evaluate and report on the success of these training programs. Additionally, you will play an important role in maintaining the institution's ICT infrastructure and ensuring its relevance to current educational needs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Program Development: Collaborate with the Head of Department (HOD) and the Principal to develop and design ICT training programs that meet the needs of students and staff. Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions in various ICT-related skills, including software packages, information systems, and technical support.     • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate class attendance registers and ensure proper record-keeping for all training activities.
    • Management: Keep track of ICT tools and equipment issued to students and report any losses or damages to the HOD.
    • Health & Safety: Ensure a safe and conducive environment during practical lessons and training sessions.

Collaboration with other trainers will be key to ensuring students acquire the required knowledge and skills to meet the competencies outlined in their respective training programs.

    • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with Heads of Departments (HODs) to develop comprehensive departmental programs and training plans in alignment with the institute’s curriculum.
    • Lesson Planning & Delivery: Prepare and deliver lessons for the relevant subjects, ensuring a thorough and engaging learning experience.
    • Attendance & Records: Maintain an up-to-date class register and track attendance for all assigned lessons.
