As the Assistant Procurement Officer, you will play a key role in assisting with the procurement processes at the institute. You will help manage supplier relationships, process purchase orders, ensure compliance with procurement policies, and maintain accurate records. Additionally, you will work closely with the Finance and Administration department to ensure the smooth execution of procurement-related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning: Assist in the preparation and development of procurement plans and strategies to meet the institute’s operational needs. Supplier Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate terms, and maintain ongoing supplier relationships.
Processing: Process purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring the delivery of goods and services within the required timelines. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date procurement records and files, ensuring that all transactions are properly documented.
Compliance: Ensure that all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with the institute’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Reporting: Assist in preparing procurement reports and supporting documentation for audits and reviews.
Qualifications:
Education: Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience: At least two years of proven experience in a procurement role, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and procedures.
