    Mechanical Supervisor

    Role:

    • Responsible for all aspects of the project relating to building services. The role includes the management of the MEP site team to ensure that the day-to-day duties are performed professionally and expeditiously to support the ongoing progress of the project.

    Duties but not limited to the following:

    • Manage, and oversee the work of subordinate staff and contact the MEP coordinator.
    • Provide technical advice to the project manager or contractor regarding the installation and maintenance of the MEP System.
    • Analyse Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing engineering problems and formulate solutions.
    • Identify problems in design, plan, manage, and deliver multiple projects.
    • Plan, organize, review, and evaluate the work of consultants, contractors, and others.
    • Advise the Mechanical Engineer of any technical aspects of the mechanical services that may affect construction progress, e.g. quality or snag.
    • Continually review the contractor’s construction schedule during the progress of the site works about MEP services and report to the Project Manager on the same.
    • Manage the day-to-day work of the MEP site team.

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
    • Minimum of 3 years experience working on a construction site
    • Bachelor's degree/ Higher Diploma in Engineering is an added advantage
    • Use of engineering software i.e., AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, MS project, etc.

    General Foreman

    Role:

    • Responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and supervising the work of all site operatives.

    Duties but not limited to the following:

    • Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
    • Ensure that the work on site is done to the required quality standards.
    • Ensure that the work is completed within the project budget and schedule.
    • Produce micro schedules and monitor attendance of casuals
    • Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
    • Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
    • Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
    • Report on progress to project managers, supervisors, etc.

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Diploma in Civil Engineering or related area of study.2
    • Minimum of 2 years minimal experience working in the construction industry as a supervisor or Foreman
    • Proficient in MS Office

    Quality Control Supervisor

    Role:

    • Responsible for field laboratory testing, observation, and testing construction materials

    Duties but not limited to the following:

    • Conducting material field testing such as field compaction, wet concrete sampling and casting, concrete mix design, steel sampling and testing, pressure testing of pipework, etc. as per the QC or QA standards.
    • Ensuring quality of materials sourced by ensuring they are procured from compliant vendors, sample checking, and verification of test reports given by vendors in line with specifications.
    • Advising project managers and project engineers on quality issues on site including quality of equipment, workmen, external factors, and materials.
    • Assisting in testing and inspection of construction materials in the laboratory to ensure that specifications meet the project design requirements.
    • Documenting and maintaining records of testing activities through the use of QT’s computerized data collection and reporting test results weekly for reviews.
    • Making timely decisions for rejections/holds for materials delivered to the site.

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Diploma in Civil Engineering
    • 3 years of experience in the construction industry as a lab technician
    • Excellent technical and problem-solving skills
    • Self-motivated and promote teamwork
    • Skills in engineering software i.e., AUTOCAD, ArchiCAD, MS Project

    Site Engineer

    Role:

    • Site Engineer is part of the project management team, reporting to the Project Manager.
    • Responsible for all aspects of the project relating to supervising and coordinating all on-site activities. It also includes management of the on-site team to ensure that the day-to-day duties are performed professionally and expeditiously to support the project's ongoing progress.

    Duties but not limited to the following:

    • Monitoring and tracking the progress of on-site activities3
    • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
    • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
    • Report and escalate to management as needed
    • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
    • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
    • Take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
    • Delegate project tasks based on all staff members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels
    • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
    • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
    • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering, construction, building, or related field.
    • Project Management certification is a plus.
    • Minimum 4 years’ experience in the construction industry
    • Able to handle CAD software tools efficiently

    Safety Officer

    Role:

    • To develop, monitor and implement the site’s health and safety policy; to ensure the organization is complaint with health &safety legislation; and to reduce or prevent hazards, dangers of the workers but also of the workplace, environment & general public.

    Duties but not limited to the following:

    • Advice and instruct on various safety related topics
    • Conduct risk assessment & enforce preventative measures
    • Review existing policies & measures & update according to legislation
    • Initiate & organise OHS training of employees & executives
    • Inspect premises & the work of personnel to identify issues or non- conformity (e.g., Not using personnel equipment)
    • Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
    • Records & investigate incidents to determine cause & handle worker`s compensation claims.
    • Prepare reports on occurrences & provide statistical information to the management.

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Undergraduate Degree or Higher Diploma in Occupational, Health and Safety
    • Certification in Occupational health & safety
    • Minimum of 2 years working in a construction industry in safety role
    • Familiarity with conducting data analysis & reporting statistics4
    • Proficient in MS Office
