• Content building and editing: Build and edit web pages in our CMS, ensuring all content aligns with Remote's brand guidelines and meets quality standards.

What You Bring

• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of CMS platforms, particularly Contentful, and with a base knowledge of SEO and web architecture good practice.
• Content Production: Experience or strong interest in web content production, with a keen eye for detail and hunger to develop more strategic knowledge
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with Content, Design, and Growth Engineering teams, contributing to collaborative projects.
• Time Management and Prioritization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Composure and ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time while communicating clearly with multiple stakeholders
• Problem Solving: Aptitude for quickly identifying and resolving content-related issues on the website.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities to articulate updates, changes, and issues clearly and effectively.
• Background: Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is advantageous. Remote and async work experience is a plus.

The Position

• You'll be joining 100+ engineers across Frontend, Backend, SRE, Data and QA. We're organised into cross-functional development teams assigned to specific verticals.
• Your team will be working on building tools, APIs and integrations for our platform. Our backend is built with Elixir and Phoenix, with a Postgres database. We use Typescript, React and Nextjs for our front-end. Gitlab is used as version control tool and CI/CD solution. Our applications are hosted on AWS. We fully rely on our CI for deployments and deploy multiple times per day.
• As Engineering Team Leader at Remote we expect you to spend around 50% of your time hands on coding, and 50% leading the team.

What You Bring

• Experience leading a team of 2+ engineers for at least 1 year
• Good understanding of team dynamics, coaching, and mentoring
• Significant experience as a Frontend or Backend Engineer, which includes building, shipping and maintaining a complex software project
• Solid knowledge and experience in Elixir and Postgres (or similar technologies)
• OR: Solid knowledge and experience in Javascript ES6 and React and familiarity with accessibility practices and semantic HTML
• Experience in dealing with ambiguity, working together with stakeholders on taking abstract concepts and turning them into working software
• Strong ability to work independently and self-guided
• Great communication and project management skills
• Curiosity and willingness to learn and develop

• As an Associate Team Leader at Remote we expect you to spend around 70% of your time hands on coding, and 30% leading the team. You will work closely with your Engineering Manager who will support you in managing and guiding the team to success.
