OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

• The successful candidate will work with patients to develop, recover, or maintain the daily living activities and work skills of people with physical, mental, or developmental conditions.
• He/she will also be expected to be an active member of the health care team in the Hospital and should have excellent public relations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assessment of client’s aspects of performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being, and life quality.
• Apply interventions to maximize safety and independence performance in activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living of the client.
• Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components.
• Recommend and fabricate adaptive equipment and train in its use.

The requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Occupational Therapy from a recognized / certified institution.
• BSC in occupational therapy will be an added advantage.
• Must be registered with KOTA (Kenya Occupational Therapist Association).
• At least one year work experience after three months period of internship.
• Any training in the areas that fall under rehabilitation will be an added advantage.
• Should have working knowledge of a Hospital Management Information System / computer Literate.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

• Reporting to the Manager – Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the successful candidate will work with patients to identify and improve their movement and function. S/he will also be expected to be an active member of the health care team in the Hospital.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluation of patients to identify their needs.
• Determination of appropriate treatment programme.
• Execution of treatment programme using required physiotherapy modalities and techniques.
• Meeting the patient needs in terms of rehabilitation.
• Daily assessment of patient’s progress.
• Monitoring patient’s relief and level of functionality.

The requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Physiotherapy from KMTC or any other recognized institution.
• Bsc. in Physiotherapy or Higher Diploma in any area of specialty in Physiotherapy will be an added advantage.
• Must be registered and licensed by the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya.
• At least one year working experience in a busy health facility.
• Working knowledge of a Hospital Management Information System.
• Excellent Public Relation.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
Reporting to the Hospital Nutritionist, the successful candidate will ensure quality, efficient and timely therapeutic interventions to patients in collaboration with the caregivers in order to avert malnutrition, maintain good nutritional status, enhance recovery and prevent complications that would result due to poor nutrition.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Screening of patients’ nutritional needs
• Giving nutrition education/counseling
• Giving the necessary therapeutic interventions
• Guiding the other clinical team on the plan of care and how to go about it.
• Educating catering staff on preparation and service of therapeutic diets.

The requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized institution.
• Two (2) years’ working experience in a similar position.
• Registered and licensed by the KNDI.
• Member of professional body.
•  Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

• Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, the successful candidate will ensure provision of quality professional mortuary services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receipt, identification, registration, and storage of deceased persons from hospital wards and external sources.
• Conduct and support mortuary procedures, including embalming, last respects, and post-mortem examinations.
• Release bodies to authorized persons for final rites while maintaining accurate mortuary records.
• Manage surgical specimens and anatomical materials in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain mortuary hygiene, infection prevention standards, and a clean and safe mortuary environment.
• Monitor mortuary environmental conditions and equipment to ensure the safe preservation and storage of bodies.

The requirements

• Diploma in Mortuary Science from a recognized institution.
• Registration with The Morticians and Allied Professionals Association of Kenya (MAPAKe).
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in a busy medical morgue.
• High emotional resilience and empathy.
• Knowledge of Biosafety and infection control and relevant legal requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
