    End-Term Evaluation of the Project

    Deliverables & Payments

    • An inception report outlining the methodology, detailed work plan, study report outlines and assessment tools for the study, within 1 week of signing the contract
    • A draft activity report detailing the preliminary findings of the evaluation, within 1 week of completion of data collection activities.
    • A final report incorporating feedback from FCA on the draft. The final product of this end line evaluation is a report, ready for presentation to FCA KECO, MFA Finland and FCA Service and Accountability Centre (SAC).
    • A debriefing/workshop session with FCA KECO program team, highlighting the key findings and lessons from the evaluation.
    • Soft copies of all data collection tools and data analysis outputs
    • List and contacts of all respondents

    Payment %

    • Upon approval of the Inception report 30%
    • Upon approval of draft report 30%
    • Upon Approval of final report 40%

    Skills and qualifications required.

    • 6 and above years of experience of designing and implementing impact evaluations (essential).
    • 5 years’ experience and knowledge of facilitating participatory evaluation processes as a team leader (essential).
    • The consultant is expected to be able to travel to the project locations.
    • The consultant should be able to complete and submit the assignment within one month period.
    • H/She should be fluent in use of participatory evaluation methodologies.
    • Ability to travel to informal settlements of Nairobi’s Eastlands project areas with support from FCA team.
    • An advanced degree in development studies is required.

    Consultant for Web Design Training

    SUMMARY Project: FCA is training 114 youth in professional Creative industry -skills during August 2022 to December 2023. The training will take place in Eastlands Nairobi.

    SCOPE OF WORK Duration: 6 months (March – August 2023). Consultant will be based in Nairobi.

    Minimum Administrative Compliance:

    1. Company’s profile and company’s Certificate of Incorporation/ Registration Certificate including team members qualifications.
    2. KRA Pin Certificate.
    3. Up to date Tax Compliance Certificate for the current year 2023.
    4. Creative Portfolio showing samples of past projects.
    5. Must have undertaken and successfully completed minimum of 2 similar or larger value projects

    Goal: Provide training in Web Design as part of FCA Creative Industry Program.

    Methodology:

    • Deliver outstanding training and coaching sessions to groups of learners in Web Design.
    • Provide employability training on widening learners job horizon and identifying business and employment opportunities.
    • Teach the learners a broad range of training to increase their skills and readiness to work as Web Designers.
    • Actively support, mentor and motivate learners across the learner journey to help them with the timely completion of their learning aims and qualification
    • Identify learner's strengths and weakness through an initial assessment and support them accordingly
    • Provide insightful, constructive, and informative feedback to help the learner maximize their potential.
    • Deliver outstanding learning, using creative learning strategies that will inspire and engage students to reach their full potential
    • Manage any learner progress issues in line with the business expectations.
    • Proactively monitor, evaluate and improve the quality and effectiveness of own workload and working practices to ensure deadlines and targets are met and that the learner has an outstanding experience.

    DELIVERABLES

    • Training Curriculum: A comprehensive training curriculum that covers all aspects of web design, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web design tools.
    • Instructional Materials: A set of instructional materials such as slides, handouts, tutorials, and demos to support the training program.
    • Design Templates: A collection of reusable design templates and UI elements to assist the trainees in creating consistent and professional-looking web designs.
    • Reference Manual: A detailed reference manual covering all the topics covered in the training, including step-by-step instructions and tips for effective web design.
    • Hands-On Exercises: A series of hands-on exercises and projects to provide trainees with practical experience and a deeper understanding of web design concepts and techniques.
    • Technical Support: Ongoing technical support to assist trainees with any questions or challenges that may arise during the training program.
    • Feedback and Evaluation: Periodic feedback and evaluations to assess the trainees' progress and identify areas for improvement.
    • Completed Websites: A portfolio of completed websites created by the trainees, showcasing their newly acquired web design skills.
    • Final Assessment: A final assessment to evaluate the trainees' understanding and mastery of web design concepts and techniques.
    • Certification: A certificate of completion for trainees who successfully complete the training program, demonstrating their newly acquired web design skills.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Education: A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information technology, graphic design, or a related field is preferred.
    • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in web design, development, and training is required.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a variety of web design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc.
    • Instructional Skills: Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner and to tailor training to the needs of different learning styles and skill levels.
    • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the latest trends and best practices in web design and development, as well as an understanding of the user experience (UX) design process.
    • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies as the web design industry evolves.
    • Certification: Certification in web design and development is a plus, but not a requirement.
    • Entrepreneurship: Previous experience as an entrepreneur or delivering training on entreprenuership and employability is a plus.
