    Head of Risk and Compliance

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the development and implementation of a company-wide risk management framework.
    • Maintain a live risk register covering operational, financial, regulatory, supply chain, biosecurity, and reputational risks.
    • Facilitate risk assessments across farms, processing plants, cold chain, and distribution hubs.
    • Present risk dashboards and mitigation plans to the Board and Executive Committee.
    • Ensure compliance with KEBS, Ministry of Agriculture, Veterinary Services, NEMA, Public Health, and export regulatory requirements.
    • Oversee adherence to food safety certifications (e.g., HACCP, ISO, export market standards).
    • Monitor changes in legislation affecting agribusiness, FMCG, labor law, environmental standards, and trade regulations.
    • Work closely with Quality Assurance and Production teams to strengthen food safety governance.
    • Oversee risk controls related to contamination, traceability, cold chain breaches, and recall procedures.
    • Oversee the development of whistleblowing and ethics frameworks.
    • Ensure proper segregation of duties across procurement, production, warehousing, and finance.
    • Develop and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for farms, plants, and distribution operations.
    • Lead response protocols for biosecurity outbreaks, plant shutdowns, product recalls, or regulatory sanctions.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Master’s or Advanced degree in Law, Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration or its equivalent.
    • Ten (10) years of relevant experience, with at least five (5) years at managerial level

    Technical Competencies

    • Enterprise Risk Management frameworks.
    • Regulatory compliance management in FMCG/agribusiness.
    • Internal control design and fraud risk mitigation.
    • Food safety regulatory standards.
    • Business continuity planning.

    Management Accountant

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for farming, manufacturing, and distribution operations.
    • Develop product-level profitability analysis (SKU-level margin analysis for fresh, processed, and export lines).
    • Support pricing decisions through cost build-ups and sensitivity analysis (feed cost volatility, FX impact on imports, fuel cost movements).
    • Produce monthly management accounts with variance analysis (volume, yield, wastage, overhead absorption).
    • Maintain standard costing models for livestock rearing, slaughtering, processing, and packaging.
    • Monitor production yields, carcass recovery rates, wastage, and by-product revenue streams.
    • Analyze feed cost per kg of livestock growth and its impact on overall cost of sales.
    • Ensure accurate inventory valuation across raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and cold storage.
    • Work closely with plant managers to understand operational inefficiencies and cost leakage.
    • Monitor stock movements across farms, plants, cold rooms, and distribution depots.
    • Reconcile physical stock counts with system records and investigate variances.
    • Track inventory holding days and reduce working capital tied up in stock.
    • Provide financial modelling support for capital expenditure (new processing lines, cold rooms, fleet expansion).
    • Support export costing models including duty, logistics, and compliance costs.
    • Drive cost optimization initiatives with procurement and operations teams.
    • Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and reporting timelines.
    • Support external and internal audits with relevant documentation.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance Accounting, Economics, or related field.
    • CPA (K), ACCA, or equivalent qualification (fully qualified preferred).
    • Membership in ICPAK or relevant professional body.
    • Five (5) years of relevant experience within a similar industry or big 4 professional services firm.

    Technical Competencies

    • Strong cost accounting in a manufacturing/FMCG environment.
    • Deep understanding of standard costing and variance analysis.
    • Financial modelling and scenario analysis.
    • ERP proficiency (SAP, Oracle, or similar manufacturing systems).
    • Advanced Excel and data analysis capability.
    • Understanding of supply chain finance and working capital optimization.

    Head of Security

    Key Responsibilities

    • Accountable for creating a secure and safe working and transacting environment for the company.
    • Develop security risk management framework with appropriate Policies, Procedures and Controls.
    • Maintain close liaison with the external Security Company and Manage a group of security guards who ensure the protection of an organization's facilities;
    • Plan, direct, and ensure implementation of comprehensive security systems for protection of individuals, commercial and industrial establishments;
    • Plan and directs installation of electronic security systems, such as CCTV surveillance, entry controls, burglar alarms, smoke detectors and outdoor perimeter and microwave alarms;
    • Network with various Private / Public Partnership to improve the efficiency of security and prosecutions of serious and violent Crime;
    • Conduct surprise security drills to check the efficiency of all security measures;
    • Plan and direct personal security and safety of personnel of the organization and that of visitors;
    • Develop and enforce security procedures and regulations; and
    • Act as a liaison to all departments on security measures, procedures and needs.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Security, or related field.
    • Certification in Security Management or Risk (CPP (Certified Protection Professional) and PSP (Physical Security Professional), or equivalent preferred).
    • At least ten (10) years of relevant working experience, of which five (5) must have been in a corporate organisation of similar size

    Technical Competencies

    • Loss prevention in manufacturing and distribution environments.
    • Incident investigation and reporting.
