    Spares Coordinator

    The overall purpose of this role is to manage the inventory, sourcing, and availability of critical spare parts, tools, and equipment required for the efficient operation and maintenance of the dairy processing plant. The role ensures that all technical spares are properly tracked, stored, and issued promptly through SAP to minimize machine downtime and maintain optimal plant performance.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all technical spare parts, tools, and critical machine components in SAP.
    • Identify, source, and procure quality spares, parts, and tools from approved suppliers while ensuring cost efficiency and quality standards.
    • Coordinate the receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of technical spares and parts through SAP.
    • Support maintenance and production teams by ensuring the right spares are available at the right time to minimize downtime.
    • Maintain an organized and clearly labeled spares store, ensuring proper cataloging, shelving, and storage based on type, criticality, and usage frequency.
    • Monitor spare parts usage trends and prepare re-order plans in SAP to avoid stock outs of critical items.
    • Conduct periodic physical stock counts and reconcile variances with SAP system reports.
    • Work closely with maintenance teams to understand equipment technical requirements and plan for long-lead spare parts proactively.
    • Ensure all obsolete, slow-moving, or redundant spares are identified, recorded in SAP, and recommendations for disposal or alternative use are made.
    • Support the Factory Manager and Maintenance Supervisor with technical insights regarding equipment spare parts specifications and compatibility.
    • Maintain proper records of spare parts warranties and follow up on claims or replacements with suppliers when needed.
    • Raise material requisitions, purchase orders, and spare parts procurement documentation accurately and timely in SAP.
    • Observe and enforce strict compliance to health, safety, and environmental standards within the stores area.
    • Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
    • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to the jobholder by the supervisor from time to time.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • Specialized training or certification in Inventory Management, Stores Management, or SAP system usage.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment managing technical stores or engineering spares.
    • Mandatory knowledge and working experience with SAP ERP system (Materials Management and/or Plant Maintenance modules).
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical spare parts, tools, and technical equipment.
    • Proficiency in SAP system for inventory management (Material Creation, Goods Receipt, Issuance, Stock Monitoring, Reporting).
    • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, and spare parts catalogues.
    • Inventory management skills and experience with ERP stock control systems (SAP MM/PM).
    • Good negotiation and sourcing skills for spares procurement.
    • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
    • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.
    • Strong computer literacy (MS Excel, SAP, Inventory Databases).
    • Awareness of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
    • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and meet deadlines

    Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

    The overall purpose of this job is to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve electrical, electronic, and instrumentation systems across the factory, ensuring minimal downtime, maximum efficiency, and safe, reliable operation of plant equipment. The role combines hands-on electrical maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and calibration of process control instrumentation.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Electrical Responsibilities:

    • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, control panels, and fixtures based on electrical codes and engineering drawings;
    • Maintain, test, and repair motors, drives (VFDs), transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and electrical distribution systems;
    • Diagnose and repair faults in electrical power, lighting, control, and communication systems;
    • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems to ensure uninterrupted power supply and machinery operation;
    • Carry out minor electrical modifications or upgrades on machines to enhance safety, efficiency, or reduce energy consumption;
    • Lead emergency response efforts for electrical faults and power outages.

    Instrumentation Responsibilities:

    • Calibration, maintenance, and repair of plant instrumentation such as sensors, transmitters, thermometers, pressure gauges, and flow meters;
    • Configure and program instrumentation and control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and HMIs;
    • Verify equipment control parameters at control points to ensure accurate performance and reliability;
    • Develop and implement calibration plans and schedules for all critical plant instruments and control systems;
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and rectify faults in control circuits, instrumentation loops, and automation systems;
    • Participate actively in commissioning, loop checking, and start-up activities of new plant projects or machine installations.
    • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, control schematics, P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), and OEM manuals accurately.

    Other Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams for technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis of breakdowns;
    • Provide technical training and guidance to machine operators and junior technicians on proper equipment handling;
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement energy isolation (LOTO) procedures when working on plant systems;
    • Maintain complete and accurate maintenance logs, calibration records, and reports for internal tracking and audits;
    • Identify and recommend improvements to plant control systems, process optimization, and energy management initiatives;
    • Attend safety meetings, trainings, and continuous professional development programs;
      Maintain up to date records on operations and activities; coordinate and prepare a variety of reports to the Manager; and
    • Any other responsibilities assigned to the jobholder by the supervisor from time to time.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ solid experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
    • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, process control instrumentation, and automation platforms.
    • Experience with PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, etc.) programming and troubleshooting.
    • Knowledge and hands-on experience with SCADA and HMI systems is an added advantage.
    • Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Advanced skills in electrical system troubleshooting and repairs.
    • Strong hands-on experience with process instrumentation calibration and maintenance.
    • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs, VFDs, SCADA, and automated control systems.
    • Good understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and digital instrumentation.
    • Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as multi meters, calibrators, loop testers, oscilloscopes, etc.
    • Excellent reading and interpretation skills for technical documents, control schematics, and electrical drawings.
    • Ability to plan and execute preventive maintenance programs independently.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen analytical mind.
    • High attention to detail, safety, and compliance with regulations.
    • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical teams.
    • Self-driven, hands-on, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
    • Good teamwork and collaboration skills.
