    Senior Nursing Officer (Critical Care)

    REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must:

    • Be a Kenyan Citizen;
    • Have Served in the grade of Nursing officer for a minimum period of three (3) years;
    • Have Bachelor’s degree/Higher Diploma in critical care Nursing from recognized institution;
    • Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya;
    • Valid practicing license from Nursing Council of Kenya;
    • Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution;
    • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Duties and responsibilities at this level will involve: –

    • Reporting to the respective unit Nurse Manager, the critical care Nurse is responsible to promote and maintain high standards of Mental Health and psychiatry from a recognised institution psychiaprofessional nursing care to meet  the needs of patients and their families;
    • Participate actively in decision making related to patient care and will ensure patients safety, dignity and respect are maintained at all level;
    • Identify patients who are at risk and prioritize nursing care for assigned critically ill patients based on assessment data and identified needs;
    • Assist in carrying out procedures such as bronchoscopy, endoscopy, endotracheal intubation and elective cardioversion;
    • Advocate for patients and family’s needs or provide emotional support for patients and their families;

    Community Health Nurse III

    REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENTS

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must:

    • Be a Kenyan Citizen;

    Engineering Technologists III

    REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must:

    • Be a Kenyan Citizen;
    • Diploma in medical engineering or any other equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;
    • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognised institution;
    • Be a Member of Association of Medical Engineering of Kenya (AMEK);

    • Be a Kenyan Citizen;

    Architectural Officer

    • Be a Kenyan Citizen;

    • Inspection of staff in an Architectural drawing office;
    • picturing Architects rough sketches into finished drawings, making models, presentation and perspective drawings;
    • Examination and taking of dimensions;
    • Annotations and construction details on all drawings to conform to standards;
    • Preparation of production of all public buildings and institutions;
    • An officer at this level will also be responsible for the safety drawing office equipment and supply of drawing office material;

    Safeguards Officer

    Structural Engineer II

    REF: LCPSB/ADV/2021/51

    REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENTS

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must: –

    • Be a Kenyan Citizen;
    • Be holder of a Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering/Building/construction/civil engineering, or equivalent qualification from recognized institution;
    • Have at least two (2) years’ experience in public or private sectors
    • Be Registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) as a professional Engineer (PE);
    • Certificate in computer applications;
    • Demonstrate general administrative of culture and art activities.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

    Duties and responsibilities at this level  will involve;

    • Choose appropriate materials such as concrete, steel, timber and masonry to meet desired specification;
    • Inspecting the work and providing technical advice to the construction team;
    • Analyzing configurations of the basic structural component of a building;
    • Calculating the pressure stresses and strain that each component, such as beam or lintel will experience from other parts of the structure due to usage;
    • Liaising with other designers to agree on safe designs and their fit with aesthetic concept of construction making drawings, specification and computer models of
    • structure for building;
    • Working with architect, quantity surveyor and other technical engineers to investigate ground conditions;
    • Prepare reports, designs and drawings;
