The job holder will be responsible for installing & maintaining electrical plant, machinery, appliances and equipment for reliable operation and performance of factories, power stations, and other industrial electrical installations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installation and maintenance of the electrical appliances & machinery in the factories, water pumps and other industrial sites as per the jobs raised to Electrical Section.
• Raise materials or spares for jobs as per approved estimates and approved budgets.
• Observe health, safety and environment procedures and requirements at various work sites.
• Closure of all the hazards raised to Electrical Section, particularly regarding industrial installations.
• Carry out electrical projects/installations and ensure compliance with electrical standards and regulations.
• Participate in annual electrical inspections of factories, electrical portable machines and implement the recommendation's corrective actions as necessary. Carry out the preventive maintenance in Black Tea Factories and power stations during the shutdown periods.
• Carry out domestic installations in the offices and residential houses as necessary/assigned.
• Attend to electrical breakdowns within stipulated timelines.
• Adhere to HACCP plan and other regulations in the plant while carrying the above duties.
• Observe total compliance to Health & Safety systems, policies, reporting & procedures within the workplace.
• Support company/departmental initiatives and ongoing projects.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation Engineerin
• At least 2 years' experience in electronic principles and operations.
• Computer Literate 
• Excellent communication skills
• Good organising and planning skills Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision

The job holder will be responsible for installing & maintaining plant electronics and instrumentation for reliable functioning of machinery, plant and equipment in factories, power stations and other machinery/equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installation, calibration, and maintenance of instruments/electronic equipment used in tea processing: weighbridges, portable weighing equipment, online weighing systems i.e., weigh feeders, moisture analyzers.
• Carry out installation and configuration of various automation devices such as VFDs, controllers, indicators, actuators, recorders.
• Interpret schematic drawings and implement installations as assigned.
• Maintenance of hydro equipment, biogas, and Diesel generators.
• Maintenance of boiler control systems.
• Repair of domestic electronic equipment i.e., fridges, ovens, friers, TVs etc.
• Undertake preventative and breakdown maintenance as assigned to reduce downtime to users.
• Repair of logging mechanization equipment i.e., automated log harvester, automated log forwarder, automatic log splitters, Hyundai etc. Compliance with company Health & Safety systems, policies, reporting & procedures within the Electrical area & during all assignments.
• Adhere to HACCP plan and other regulations in the plant while carrying the above duties.
• Drive total compliance to Health & Safety systems, policies, reporting & procedures within the workplace.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation or a related field.
• Computer literate
• At least 3 years' experience in basic electrical installation and maintenance (knowledge on instruments and powerline maintenance)
• Basic understanding of automation
• Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision

The job holder will be responsible for handling customer inquiries and service requests related to electricity, including prepaid and post-paid metering, billing, token purchases, and power supply issues while ensuring meter functionality, system uptime, and timely resolution of technical issues affecting customers and operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Configure, commission, and maintain prepaid and postpaid meters.
• Investigate issues such as token failures, negative balances, billing errors, and high-consumption complaints.
• Ensure accurate meter data capture, synchronization, and reporting
• Conduct site visits to install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair metering and electrical systems.
• Resolve faults related to meter communication (e.g., wiring and power supply.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and service interruptions.
• Continuously monitor system performance, uptime, and meter status (online/offline).
• Identify and report anomalies such as communication failures, abnormal consumption, or system errors.
• Respond to customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Educate customers on meter usage, token processes, and basic troubleshooting steps.
• Educate customers on Health, Safety & Compliance.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
• Report hazards, incidents, and near-misses promptly.
• Educate users on basic troubleshooting.
• Receive, log, and track incidents related to prepaid and postpaid metering systems.
• Provide first-line support for meter faults, billing discrepancies, and communication failures.
• Monitor system uptime, meter connectivity, and server performance.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. Computer literate
• At least 1 year experience in basic electrical/electronic principles and operations (Basic understanding of • meter communication technologies, vending systems and meter data management platforms)
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision

The job holder will be responsible for fabrication, maintenance, repair and servicing factory equipment and other welding jobs while observing and promoting health and safety procedures at the workplace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform fabrication/ welding work effectively and efficiently within the set workshop engineering procedures and policies.
• Carry out the assigned tasks in a safe manner as per safety regulations and engineering policies
• Carry out assigned jobs in a timely manner in conjunction with colleagues and
• Perform other mechanical workshop duties as assigned by management.
• Work in conjunction with other engineering team members to fulfil customer requirements.
• Handle the assigned workshop machinery, tools and related resources in a professional manner to avoid waste, damage and unwarranted downtime.

REQUIREMENTS

• Certificate in Mechanical/Production/Plant Engineering
• Minimum 3 years' experience in welding operations, mechanical Installations and maintenance.
• Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and ARC Welding
• Strong soldering and metal-joining abilities
• Ability to interpret patterns, blueprints, and measurements.
• Understanding of safety procedures in metalworking environments
