    Accountant

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international accounting standards.
    • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including timely invoicing and payment processing.
    • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in the company’s accounting system.
    • Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with financial goals.
    • Manage payroll processes and ensure timely tax remittances (e.g., PAYE, VAT, NHIF, NSSF for Kenya, or equivalent for US).
    • Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations, filing returns accurately and on time.
    • Collaborate with auditors during financial audits and implement recommendations as necessary.
    • Monitor employee activity using Teramind (Employee Monitoring Software) to ensure employees are working efficiently and clocking in/out at the right times.
    • Provide IT support by assisting with basic troubleshooting and navigating various software when the need arises.
    • Support management with financial insights and advice for decision-making.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification (mandatory).
    • Proven work experience of at least 3 years in accounting.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance.
    • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, SAP or QuickBooks online.(QBO experience will be an added advantage.)
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to analyze complex data and present clear, actionable recommendations.
    • Effective communication skills to work effectively within a team. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to speak clear, standard English
    • Fluency in at least three languages, including English (written, spoken, and reading), is required.
    • Technical Skills: Strong IT proficiency; tech-savvy and capable of troubleshooting basic technical issues,ability to navigate and assist with basic software issues.
    • Equipment Requirements: A personal laptop, phone, high-quality headphones, and a reliable internet connection (minimum 90 Mbps). Candidates should be willing to upgrade their internet speed to meet the requirement if necessary.

    • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Familiarity with Kenyan tax systems and reporting standards.
    • Experience working in a multinational or cross-cultural environment.

    Van Sales Representative - Bread Manufacturing

    Key Responsibilities

    • Sales Targets: Achieve daily sales revenue targets.
    • Stock and Delivery: Receive stock and deliver bread to depots and customers as per assigned route.
    • Sales Reconciliation: Daily cash and stock reconciliation with sales clerks.
    • Payment Collection: Collect signed invoices and cheques from customers, ensuring payment for delivered products.
    • Returns Management: Adhere to zero returns policy and control product damages.
    • Crates Management: Collect and account for crates daily.
    • Debt Management: Manage and reconcile payment processes.
    • Customer Relationship Management: Communicate price changes and new products, maintain strong customer relationships, and resolve escalated issues.
    • Market Development: Increase brand visibility and sales growth by opening new accounts.
    • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities and collect market data.
    • Sales Cost Controls: Monitor vehicle usage, fuel, and manage the sales budget.
    • Quality Control: Implement quality assurance procedures and manage customer complaints.
    • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, customer accounts, and sales.

    Qualifications

    • Diploma in sales, marketing, or equivalent.
    • A minimum of 2 years of sales management experience in the bread manufacturing or dairy industry.
    • Experience selling bread/confectionery products is an advantage.
