Key Responsibilities

• Develop business plans and tactical action plans to support the achievement of the strategic plan.

• General responsibility for establishing internal risk and compliance systems and procedures, appropriate for The company’s Africa’s business strategy and risk appetite with a focus on threats to our capital and earnings, in accordance with the principles and policy laid down by the Board and the guidelines set by the Audit and Risk Management Committee.
• Liquidity Management: Optimize institutional liquidity by ensuring timely collection and minimal PAR Maintain adequate liquidity reserve by institutional policy
• Credit Risk Management: Develop strategies to manage the credit risk inherent in the entire portfolio as well as the risk in individual credits or transactions as per policy and overall institutional strategy.
• Operational Risk Management: Consistently implementing and maintaining throughout the institution policies, processes, and systems for managing operational risk in all of The company’s material products, services, and activities, consistent with the company’s risk appetite and policies.
• Ensure financial, operational, and regulatory reports are reliable, accurate, and timely; wherever applicable, exceptions are noted and promptly investigated
• Ensure internal controls and information systems are adequately tested and reviewed continuously to reflect changing circumstances.
• Appraise the Board quarterly on the company’s financial status, explaining current performance compared with the past period, actual performance compared with the budgets, and explanations for the variances.
• Review financial and non-financial reports and develop strategies to improve financial performance.
• Proactively recommends changes or improvements to the overall direction, policies, and strategy of the organization; solicits advice and seeks guidance, when appropriate, from the board.
• Ensure Board decisions and directives are implemented by Management in a timely fashion and the action tracker is updated accordingly.
• Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders 
• Promote the company’s corporate image by professionally representing the company and ensure the company maintains high standards of corporate citizenship and social responsibility

Key Requirements

• Degree in Business Management, Banking, Finance, or other relevant fields.
• 7 – 10 years of experience in the Finance/Lending sector, 4 of which should have been in a Senior Management or Executive role.
• Knowledge of current laws related to microfinance, banking, Labor laws, tax, and all other relevant regulations and laws

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate awareness creation and sensitization of communities in Peace Building
• Build capacity through training and mentorship on the collection of conflict-relevant data, conflict analysis and the design and implementation of responses to prevent violence
• Participate in staff devotions
• Promote good stewardship and high accountability through efficient and economical utilization of resources in the project 
• Track and monitor project progress against set objectives, timeline and budget.
• Develop regular monthly, quarterly and annual Peace Building reports
• Facilitate communities to fully participate in project activities for enhanced community ownership and sustainability of the Peace Building program through sports, cultural events
• Perform any other responsibilities that may be assigned by your supervisor from time to time

Key Requirements

• Diploma or a degree in Peace-Building, Sociology, International Relations, Conflict studies, or other related fields.
• 3 years of field experience working with Communities in Peace project management in an NGO context.
• Refined training and facilitation skills, especially in cross-cultural urban environments; 
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to work under minimal supervision; 
• Skills in community mobilization, training, and team-building; 
• Highly organized, efficient, and able to meet deadlines; 
• Proficient in MS Word, Microsoft Excel, and email/internet programs; and must have excellent oral and written communication skills. 
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Be a Christian
• General understanding of project management and MEAL techniques. 
• Ability to work in and contribute to a team 
• Ability to work with different partners, local authorities, local organizations and NGOs, to develop and maintain positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of professional, effective, and appropriate psychosocial programming, including direct individual and group counseling support, and expanded mental health services. 
• Provide professional and confidential one-on-one and group counselling services to individuals with personal and social challenges such as conflict, parenting, sexual and gender-based violence, death/grief, perinatal depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. 
• Lead mental health awareness raising and/or sensitization campaigns among participants in the community and within the organization 
• Co-facilitate training on maternal and child health behaviour change communication and psycho-education. 
• Participate in and contribute to the development and roll-out of maternal and child health curriculum with modules on maternal mental health 
• Compile monthly and quarterly counselling reports on the referred cases, including analysis of behavioural trends and patterns and the identified solutions. 
• Lead psychological assessments for clients, assist with data collection on psychosocial activities, and maintain records and databases with the utmost integrity and confidentiality. 
• Undertake referrals to partner organizations as appropriate. 
• Participate in routine departmental work plan reviews and assist with preparing relevant reports for management and funders. 

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling Psychology, Community Diploma in Counseling Studies from a recognized university or Diploma in Social Work and Development (KNEC). 
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working in a not-for-profit organization
• Prior experience working in an urban informal settlement 
• Registered member of a recognized body of counsellors and psychologists
• Excellent command of English and Kiswahili. 
• Confident user of Microsoft and Google suite 
• Be a Christian
• Aged 30 and above
• Knowledge of safeguarding and other child protection policies and protocols
