    Data Officer

    Job purpose

    To provide organizational support in the implementation of monitoring and evaluation plans and frameworks for various LVCT programs and activities and operationalization of data collection, aggregation and reporting. S/He will also be responsible for data verification, entry and analysis of programs routine and periodic data.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Health Records/Health Management Systems/Computer Science/Mathematics or any relevant course.
    • At least 4 years’ experience in M&E or Data management especially data from a comprehensive HIV prevention program in prisons.
    • Training and experience in database management and statistical packages such as STATA, Excel, and any visualization packages.
    • Demonstrated analysis, communication, interpersonal, report writing and presentation skills.
    • Proactive, creative, systematic thinker and problem-solver.
    • Ability to work within very strict deadlines is a must.
    • Experience in implementing programmes and working with EMRs including reporting EMRs like KHIS, DATIM and 3PM will be an added advantage.

    Program Officers (6 Positions)

    Job Summary

    The program officer will oversee HIV and TB clinical service delivery in multiple sites in various regions. They will provide clinical services at their base stations and offer mentorship support to service providers at other stations in their regions. They will also ensure optimal support to sites, prudent use of resources and timely and accurate reporting. Working with Kenya Prisons Services (KPS), the Ministry of Health and County Health Management Teams, the Clinical Managers will build the capacity of uniformed county clinical coordinators towards eventual transition of their roles to KPS.

    Required Qualifications/Experience

    • Diploma in Clinical Medicine or Nursing from a recognized institution
    • Higher diploma or bachelor degree in related field (added advantage)
    • 5 years’ experience in providing clinical TB and HIV care and treatment service
    • Recognized clinical mentor
    • Registration and valid practice licence from the Clinical Officers’ Council or Nursing Council of Kenya
    • MoH in-service training in HIV and TB care
    • Training in the National Advanced HIV Clinical Course (NAHCC) (added advantage)
    • Member of a NASCOP-recognized regional technical working group (added advantage)

    Roving Laboratory Technologist

    Overall Purpose

    Responsible for ensuring delivery of daily quality and efficient laboratory services as per the laid- out guidelines and policies. The roving laboratory technologist will manage laboratory operations in the region, developing and review procedures to ensure safety, quality, and accuracy of results in line with Good Clinical Laboratory Practices (GCLP), performing tests and reviewing results, compiling reports and managing laboratory commodity supply chain.

    Minimum requirement:

    • Degree or a Higher National Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science.
    • Must be registered with Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologist Board (KMLTTB) and have a valid practicing license
    • 5 years progressive work experience 3 of which must have been in a Laboratory supervisory role with excellent technical knowledge in laboratory networking.
    • Training/certification in ISO 15189 or Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) will be an added advantage.

    Required Skills

    • Self-motivated and able to work under minimum supervision.
    • Able to work under pressure and in a diverse laboratory environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate.
    • Demonstrated leadership and a history of excellent problem-solving skill.
    • Excellent organizational, computer and record-keeping skills.
