Overall Role Purpose:

 MFA facilities and infrastructural capacity is growing day by day as the construction progress and successive handover is done by the contractors. Aluminum Carpentry, Joinery and fitting reinstatement within the school set up takes the major part of the infrastructures in relation to the different finishes and furniture supplies. We would like to have an Aluminum Carpentry, Joinery and fitter who will support the maintenance department in provision of technical support on property/facilities issues and provision of routine maintenance to residential, non-residentialbuildings. He/she should be able to work under pressure with a view to meeting deadlines and staff expectations in compliance with the enacted maintenance SLA. It is important that the candidate can demonstrate good self-management and organizational skills.

 Key Responsibilities

1. Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs
2. Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding
3. Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials
4. Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes
5. Erect, level, and install building framework with the aid of rigging hardware and cranes
6. Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
7. Instruct and direct laborers and other construction helpers
8. Carry out all Aluminum Fittings and glass Panes replacement
9. Repairs of doors, cabinets, wardrobes.
10. Fitting of locks to doors, cabinets, wardrobes
11. Repair of all furniture
12. Any other Job as may be instructed by Maintenance Manager.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

1. At least 4 years working knowledge and Experience of both Industrial and Domestic Aluminum and Carpentry fittings. (Preferably Government – Grade trade test III or equivalent).
2. Hardworking, honest and flexible
3. The applicant must be a team builder with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable qualifications and experience:

1. Completion of Carpentry and Joinery apprenticeship and having Grade test II and above qualification.
2. Experienced working as A Carpentry and Joinery for more than 6 Years.
3. High school Certificate.
4. Conversant with CMMS software.

Overall Role Purpose:

 Under the supervision of the Head of Facilities, this position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the farm activities enterprises, learning resource to enhance teaching and learning and revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepares records involving cost (finances) and production (technical performance) and keeps them up to date;
2. Plan finances and production to maintain farm progress against budgeted parameters.
3. Manage the procurement of supplies and farm equipment such as fertilizer and seeds;
4. Prepare and plan the work schedules of full-time employees and decide when temporary workers will be needed.
5. Marketing the farm’s products, deciding when and to whom livestock, crops and all other farm produce should be sold for maximum profit.
6. Arranging the maintenance and repair of farm buildings, machinery and 
equipment;
7. Working very closely with the agriculture teacher on planned student activities.
8. Monitor animal/ crop health and welfare, including liaising with vets and agricultural experts;
9. Maintaining and monitoring the quality of yield, whether livestock or arable crops
10. Understanding the implications of the weather and making contingency plans;
11. Making sure that products are ready for deadlines, such as auctions and markets;
12. Ensuring that farm activities comply with government regulations and other 
programs related to agriculture;
13. Maintaining a knowledge of pests and diseases and an understanding of how they spread and how to treat them;
14. Applying health and safety standards across the farm estate;
15. Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the farm estate incl. those areas that are not (yet) in use;
16. Making expansion and development plans (incl. financial implications) for the 
development of various areas of the farm estate
17. Monitoring and documenting all yields and land use, if production goals have not been met, the manager is responsible for identifying 
and correcting the problem to ensure that the farm runs as efficiently and 
profitably as possible
18. Protecting the environment and maintaining biodiversity;
19. Having basic knowledge of and being able to supervise farm building and construction.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

1. Agriculture or a related subject as horticulture, crop management, agronomy or Agribusiness.
2. At least 5 years’ experience as Farm Manager in a similar function.
3. Demonstrated experience and commitment to farming.

2. Assist in Unblocking/Cleaning of open and closed storm water drains.

4. To assist the department in the completion of tasks in a timely fashion and to a high standard.

• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
