    Key Responsibilities

    • Configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of computer systems, networks, servers, and virtualization.
    • Installation and upgrade of computer components and software applications; management of virtual servers and integration of automation processes.
    • Performing or delegating regular backup operations and implementation of appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
    • Maintaining systems authentication and integrity by managing systems access, firewall setup and maintenance, antivirus updates, etc.
    • Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when need arises.
    • Providing documentation and technical specifications to ICT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of ICT infrastructure.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of ICT systems and develop strategies to improve their productivity.
    • Facilitate in design, development, deployment, customization and post-implementation troubleshooting of new applications; enhancements to existing one by designing and testing standards and solutions.
    • Define applications’ glitches by conferring with users/clients and evaluation of procedures and processes.
    • Develop solutions by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions.
    • Control solutions by establishing specifications and coordinating production with Software Developers.
    • Perform cost-benefit analyses for potential ICT systems upgrades to support purchase decisions.

    Website Developer

    The Mater Hospital is seeking to fill the above position at the Catherine McAuley School of Nursing. Reporting to the Head of ICT the successful candidate will be responsible for;

    Key Responsibilities

    • Gathering and refining new website requirements and specifications centred on the hospital and clients’ needs.
    • Creating website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices.
    • Implementation of well-designed website by using best development practices.
    • Creating, developing, benchmarking, verifying and testing of various online web applications which are mainly based on online interaction.
    • Integration of data from various back-end services and databases to website.
    • Maintaining continuous communication/collaboration with other stakeholders in the hospital to develop and deploy website requirements, and ensuring that there is clear establishment of what can be created within what timeframe.
    • Maintaining and expanding/enhancing website once built through continuous research on contemporary websites design and development requirements.
    • Performing regular website testing and implementation of contingency plans in case of website failure.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, ICT Management or a closely related field.
    • Over 3 years websites development experience in busy environments preferably in the hospitality industry.
    • Certification in; MCSA: Windows or MCSE: Desktop Infrastructure would be an added advantage.
    • Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop or Dreamweaver, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools.
    • Proficiency in front-end web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery, PHP and JavaScript.
    • Experience with server-side frameworks such as python, ruby, PHP, Java, ASP, ASP.NET
    • Certification in HTML/XHTML, CSS, JQuery, PHP, JavaScript.
    • Good understanding of content management systems.
    • Good understanding of search engine optimization principles.
    • Excellent visual design skills.
    • Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies.
