    Revenue Officer

    JOB LOCATION: PREMIER HOSPITAL

    REPORTS TO: CHIEF REVENUE OFFICER – OUTPATIENT

    JOB SUMMARY

    This Position exists to enforce set processes, safeguard the institution’s income both cash and credit as well as provide the “premier experience” which is embraced in the 3 Cs – compassion, care, competence.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure all payments received are receipted and official receipt issued against the payment.
    • Ensure all cash and cash equivalents are safely kept and handed over to the Chief Revenue Office promptly and accurately.
    • Ensure approval of any petty cash payment after office hours.
    • Verify type and extent of service coverage for insurance patients.
    • Verify and submit all invoices by close of shift.
    • Ensure Refund emails are promptly and correctly written as per given format.
    • Check and verify patient data in the hospital information management system and bill the correct patient for the right services and collect the right amount of payment for the services.
    • Obtain approvals from insurance companies for billing charges.
    • Ensure any report required has been set within the timelines stipulated.
    • Maintain safe custody of all passwords issued for use in the various hospital systems. Ensure patients are registered accurately following two patient identifiers PH number and patient full names.
    • Ensure the pre-authorization are duly completed by the doctors and sent to insurances for approval within 24 hours.
    • Compliance in all third-party billing systems.
    • Understand all products and process flows in the hospital to give correct directions to patients.
    • Assist other staff when the need arises in order to foster overall efficiency of the department and deliver timely patient care.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS

    • Certificate, Diploma and Degree in business related area
    • ATD OR CPA and any account related course
    • At least done internship or worked for a year, added advantage if worked in a hospital or healthcare facility

    Human Resource Officer

    JOB LOCATION: PREMIER HOSPITAL

    REPORTS TO: HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER

    JOB SUMMARY

    To manage Human Resource Functions in the hospital through formulation, implementation, education, monitoring, reporting and custody of policies, procedures, documents and best practices.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    LEAVE MANAGEMENT

    • Ensuring leave schedules are done yearly and adherence to the same
    • Monitoring leave liability and sending monthly reports to various heads of departments.

    STAFF RECORD MANAGEMENT

    • Maintaining and processing accurate and complete HR and employee records, custodian of employee’s data, process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities.

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    • Work with the HRM to ensure monthly payroll is processed on time by providing information on any changes that may affect payroll (New hires, exits, salary increment, surcharge etc.)

    RECRUITMENT, SELECTION AND PLACEMENT

    • Work with the Human Resource Manager and Heads of Departments to plan for human resource needs consistent with hospital growth and expansion.
    • Work with the HRM and Heads of Departments to develop job descriptions for new positions and update the same for existing positions when need arises.
    • Assisting in identifying and advertising job vacancies
    • Shortlisting candidates, plan for interviews.
    • Assist in reference checks and onboarding process of new hires.

    STAFF TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

    • Assessing training needs for various cadres of staff, formulate a training and development policy

    EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

    • Conducting HR file audits to ensure personnel files are up to date
    • General administrative tasks in HR department.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS

    • Higher Diploma In Human Resource Management.
    • Customer Care training.
    • 3Years working experience managing a HR department.
    • Registration with IHRM

    Pharmaceutical Technologist

    REPORTS TO: PHARMACY MANAGER

    JOB SUMMARY

    To compound, dispense and handle of pharmaceutical supplies for all orders/prescriptions as well as educate patients about their medications while providing effective pharmaceutical supplies to meet customer needs.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Monitor that the variance levels in your stock-team are kept to a minimum and medication is always available
    • Able to carry out stock-take exercise, record, monitor and update the expiry list of medications in timely manner.
    • Consistently check and complete documentation of all patient accounts, records and files, interventions, incidents and other records kept in the department.
    • Check that every label placed on the medications contains the correct patient’s name, drug, quantity and directions.
    • Verify expiry dates of drugs prior to dispensing medication to patients/customers
    • Contact the physician immediately for inaccuracy in a prescription order, document errors and communicate them to the doctor and pharmacy staff
    • Compound medication through mixing, counting pills and labeling bottles as needed
    • Counsel patients on drug administration for optimum wellness and recovery
    • Comply and observe the environmental health and safety measures and regulations by proper handling, storage and dispensation of medications
    • Proactively responds to clients escalating to the pharmacy manager in an event of complain concern or feedback.
    • Working with all staff to ensure rationalization of spend within the department including breakages.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS

    • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution
    • Registered with The Kenya Pharmaceutical Association or a relevant pharmaceutical regulating body
    • Practicing License from The Pharmacy and Poisons Board
    • 1 Years working experience.
