    Fleet Scheduling Associate

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Track key daily, weekly, and monthly logistics metrics - (Fuel consumption, Labor utilization, Maintenance, Coverage costs, etc) with respect to the agreed budget.
    • Work with the Fleet Supervisor to ensure that set lead times/ TATs are adhered to and tracked on the established platforms.
    • Participate in the daily scrum meeting and address assigned corrective actions and maintain a CAPA resolution rate >90% for immediate corrective actions
    • Collaborate with the Supervisors (ICS) to streamline consolidation, bin and collection schedules to eliminate lean waste.
    • Preparation of Service Received Notes (SRNs) and updating them on the established platforms. 
    • Conduct vendor Accounts reconciliation based on the amounts paid vs owed.
    • Work closely with  indirect reports (drivers & turn boys)  to understand and ensure their day-to-day challenges are resolved e.g.  route challenges, collection schedules, etc 
    • Participate in the development, resolution, and implementation of short-term and medium-term corrective and preventive action.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline
    • Experience in statistics or related certification (stats) will be an added advantage
    • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the logistics industry
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    Factory Crew Lead /Supervisor

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Follow weekly shift plans and daily set production schedules to execute all assigned tasks as per the work instructions
    • Performing Autonomous Maintenance tasks on the assigned equipment. These are industrial filling machines, greenhouses, motors, chain-belts, hoppers
    • Attend scrum meetings and other sessions called by the line manager to discuss and resolve work challenges
    • Lead scrum meetings in your sections
    • Proactively propose to your supervisor possible solutions to challenges affecting productivity, quality, health & safety in your work area
    • Lead workmen at your section to resolve agreed issues

    Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

    The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles to ensure their optimal performance and longevity. The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor will work closely with the Operations team to plan and execute maintenance schedules, manage spare parts inventory, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop a monthly and weekly schedule that is in line with the annual schedule for AMs, PMs, Drivers assessments 
    • Resolve breakdowns within the agreed turnaround time
    • Liaise with the maintenance supervisor(s) in the implementation of the problem-solving tools (RCAs, 5Why, RAPID)
    • Coach maintenance supervisor(s) on use of the above problem-solving tools
    • Lead development of corrective actions. Own resolution through delegation to the maintenance team
    • Lead preventive action projects to meet recommended TATs and budgets
    • Share weekly reports on maintenance activities for all trucks
    • Ensure all maintenance issues are logged on established platforms
    • Calculate and track MTBF and MTTR for all trucks
    • Work with maintenance supervisor(s) to refine AM and PM schedules to improve equipment reliability
    • Coordinate all AM (Autonomous Maintenance), PM (Preventive Maintenance), and BM (Breakdown Maintenance) activities through the supervisor(s)
    • Coordinate driver training and assessments on equipment operations 
    • Proactively contributing to conflict resolution through open and honest discussions, reporting unresolved conflict to your manager or Talent Partner
    • Maintain a cordial working relationship with teammates
    • Manage maintenance-related vendors; work with procurement team to ensure vendor contracts are up to date and vendors are paid on time
    • Actively seek out new breakdown maintenance vendors that provide value to the company through budget and TAT reduction to meet targets
    • Liaise with the Asst. Manager Fleet to plan for maintenance activities without affecting service delivery to our clients
    • Coordinate acquisition of coverage trucks for all leased trucks with the lease vendors
    • Develop a monthly and weekly schedule that is in line with the annual schedule for AMs, PMs, drivers' assessments   
    • Resolve breakdowns within the agreed turnaround time
    • Propose and implement actions to reduce the variance between the plan and actuals
    • Refine AM and PM schedules to improve trucks reliability and predictability
    • Share ideas on how to standardize and improve maintenance data
    • Share ideas on how to improve maintenance processes
    • Implement improvement ideas and share feedback
    • Escalate in advance when facing blocks
    • Keeping track of the maintenance expenses for all trucks and ensuring vendors are paid on time as per the Service Level Agreement (SLAs)
    • Sharing daily reports on maintenance expenses for all assets
    • Ensure all the maintenance data is logged systematically
    • Ask questions and listen to items escalated by the operators, technicians, and managers in order to understand issues with the assets
    • Provide feedback to operators and technicians on usage and maintenance of assets
    • Ask for feedback from stakeholders (operators, technicians, and managers) to improve the maintenance performance
    • Conduct quarterly performance reviews using the in-house feedback templates
    • Continually host feedback sessions with your team that are aimed at sharing situational experiences highlighting learnings, wins, and failures
    • Share a report of team failures and learning derived from them (through performance reviews)

    Qualifications

    • Degree in  Mechanical / Automotive Engineering
    • 2- 3 year of proven experience in Fleet maintenance preferably a similar role
    • Possess great data analysis skills and technical knowledge
    • Excellent organizational, ownership and follow-up skills
    • Competent in  detection, problem-solving, planning and decision making
    • Ability to hands-on work on a need basis

    Security Guard

    Duties and Responsibilities

    •  Patrol plant/ premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, perimeter wall and gates.
    • Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
    • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
    • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

    • Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.

    • Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
    • Escort individuals to specified locations and to provide personal protection.
    • Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.

    Qualifications

    • High School Certificate (KCSE),
    • Diploma in a security-related course
    • Minimum one (1) years’ experience of working as a Security Guard.

    Wheel Loader/Tractor Operator

    • Experience in basic wheel loader maintenance will be an added advantage 
    • Knowledge related to heavy equipment operation

    GIS Intern

    About the Role

    We are looking for a GIS Intern to help us design, develop, and implement systems and databases to access and store geospatial data. Specifically, we are looking for someone to support population mapping, land/sewer mapping, and generally support various analyses utilizing mapping software in our areas of operations. The contract duration will be for 3 months. 

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Design, develop and implement systems and databases for geospatial data

    QHSE Associate

    The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing QHSE policies and procedures for our organic waste recycling facility. The QHSE Associate will work closely with the Operations team to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, and to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Development and implementation of an ergonomic OSH policy for labour-intensive roles
    • Assist in the development of robust, functioning and measurable training setup tackling staff development on QHSE competencies
    • Coordinate all workplace audit inspections and the collection, analysis, reporting and development of QHSE CAPA across the operational teams.
    • Coordinate execution of QHSE activities relating to fire preparedness, accident & incident preparedness and employee wellness.
    • Develop a quicker and more accurate method of conducting QA checks
    • Coordinate non-lab Goods In and Goods Out Inspection
    • Assist in adherence and incremental improvement to waste management procedures
    • Maintain and improve QHSE source documents. Maintain all QHSE records including general registers, training records, MSDS database etc
    • Conduct regular risk assessments to ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented, especially for high-risk teams and areas.

    Qualifications

    • An undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health and Safety.
    • Ability to undertake risk assessment- Job safety analysis.
    • 1 – 2 years of experience in Quality, Health, Safety and Environment related work
    • Proficiency in MS packages (word, excel, PowerPoint)
    • Well-versed in DOSH, NEMA and other relevant regulations.
    • High level of diligence and attention to detail due to the nature of the work and what it entails (overall employee well-being and safety).
    • Highly organized and able to prioritize action items based on the needs and urgency into short, mid-term, and long terms related to heavy equipment operation

    About the Role

    As a Facility General Staff member for our organic waste recycling facility in Kakamega, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the general operation of the facility. Your duties will include, but are not limited to, cleaning and maintaining the facility, monitoring and operating machinery, and ensuring that all waste materials are handled safely and efficiently

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Clean and maintain the facility to ensure a safe and sanitary environment
    • Operate machinery and equipment, including balers, shredders, and forklifts, to process waste materials
