    Pharmacist

    • Jocham Hospital in Mombasa is seeking a highly skilled and professional Pharmacist to join our dedicated healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care to our patients, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, and contributing to the overall quality of care at our facility.

    As a licensed medical professional responsible for the:-

    • In charge of all the medications dispensed in the hospital.
    • Monitor the use and safety of medications.
    • Advise medical officers on the best possible treatment for specific diseases.
    • Ensure that patients understand the medication and any side effects and/or drug interactions.
    • Provide a final check of the prescription by the pharmacy technologists once more before the drug is given to the patients.
    • Maintain confidential records of all patients.
    • Provide advises on essential drugs list, storage, and determine inventory level.
    • Supervise pharmacy staff members as well as training aspect of drug knowledge.
    • Advise and Implement pharmacy policy guidelines.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Must have a Degree in Pharmacy.
    • Must have a valid Certificate from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board. 
    • Must have working experience of not less than 3 years in the health care industry.

    Pharmaceutical Technologist

    • Jocham Hospital in Mombasa is seeking a competent and dedicated Pharmaceutical Technologist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will support the pharmacy operations by preparing and dispensing medications and providing patient counseling

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting doctors’ orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities
    • Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals

    Radiographer

    • Jocham Hospital in Mombasa is seeking a skilled and professional Radiographer to join our diagnostic imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating radiographic equipment, performing diagnostic imaging examinations, and ensuring high-quality patient care and safety.

    Responsibilities

    • Receiving patients for various Radiological procedures and exercising a high degree of customer care by explaining the ultrasound procedure to patients and answering any questions they may have. 
    • Assessing patients and interpreting clinical requirements to determine an appropriate radiographic technique 
    • Perform a range of radiographic/sonographic examinations as requested according to the requirements of the referring physician. 
    • Ensure radiation protection to patients and staff to produce high-quality images. 
    • Managing referrals to ensure patients receive a radiation dose as low as reasonably possible and safely supervising visiting staff and patients in radiation work areas. 
    • Enabling high-quality patient experience including quality of care and optimal turnaround time Facilitating adherence to set standards for routine and special examinations. 
    • Producing images of high diagnostic quality. 
    • Performing routine and special radiological examinations including mobile radiography and image intensifier when required. 
    • Maintaining the ultrasound equipment and maintaining the room in which the procedure takes place. 
    • Performing the ultrasound ensuring the transducer (probe) is capturing images of every angle/section that must be assessed and ensuring the images are of the best quality.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Diploma and/ or Degree in Diagnostic Radiography 
    • Valid practice license from The Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority 
    • At least 2 years of relevant working experience. 
    • Ability to operate CT scan and MRI
    • Effective interpersonal and communication skills. 
    • Organization and decision-making skills.

    • Jocham Hospital in Mombasa is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Auditor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for examining and evaluating the hospital’s financial and operational systems to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Plan, develop, and monitor the implementation of internal audits and audit plans for the Institute
    • Develop comprehensive reports and recommendations
    • Implement risk management policies, guidelines, fraud detection elimination policies and strategies

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in the following disciplines: Economics or Accounting Option, Business Administration/Management Option or its equivalent from a recognized institution Membership to the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or CIA, CISA, CFE from a recognized institution is mandatory

    Anesthetist

    • Jocham Hospital in Mombasa is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anaesthetist to join our medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical and medical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and monitoring their vital signs throughout the process.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the overall health care services delivery in the field of Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit at the Hospital.
    • Administer anesthetic or sedation during medical procedures, using local, intravenous, spinal, or caudal methods.
    • Confer with other medical professionals to determine the type and method of anesthetic or sedation to render the patient insensible to pain.
    • Coordinate administration of anesthetics with surgeons during operation.
    • Decide when patients have recovered or stabilized enough to be sent to another room or ward or to be sent home following outpatient surgery.
    • Examine patients, obtain medical history, and use diagnostic tests to determine risk during surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures.
    • Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia and counteract adverse reactions or complications.
    • Record the type and amount of anesthesia and the patient’s condition throughout the procedure.
    • Conduct medical research to aid in controlling and curing disease, investigate new medications, and develop and test new medical techniques.
    • Coordinate and direct work of nurses, medical technicians, and other health care providers in the department;
    • Inform staff of types and methods of anesthesia administration, signs of complications, and emergency methods to counteract reactions;
    • Manage anesthesiological services, coordinating them with other medical activities and formulate plans and procedures;
    • Position the patient on the operating table to maximize patient comfort and surgical accessibility.
    • Provide and maintain life support and airway management and help prepare patients for emergency surgery;
    • Provide medical care and consultation in many settings, prescribe medication and treatment and referring patients for surgery;
    • Instruct individuals and groups on ways to preserve health and prevent disease;
    • Schedule and maintain use of the surgical suite, including operating, washup, waiting rooms, and anesthetic and sterilizing equipment;
    • Assist with the management of day-to-day activities and prioritize tasks;
    • Attend and participate in a variety of meetings; and
    • Any other lawful duties that may be assigned from time to time.

    Requirements for Appointment

    • Registered Clinical Officer Anaesthetist with a Higher National Diploma(HND) in Anaesthesia and Surgery from KMTC or a recognized Medical training institution 
    • Must be registered with the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya
    • Should have 4 years of working experience in a busy hospital set up
    • Have the capacity to multitask within strict timelines.
    • Demonstrate professional competence and managerial capability as reflected in work performance and results.
