    Anaesthetic Technician

    Reporting Nurse Manager- Surgery, the overall purpose of this role is to assist the anaesthesia team prior to, during and following patient procedures in various operating rooms.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    1. Assist with the preparation of a patient for surgery as per the anaesthesiologist’s instructions
    2. Assist in setting up physiological monitors, invasive and non-invasive.
    3. Perform equipment checks as indicated and maintain a record of malfunctions.
    4. Arrange and coordinate servicing and repair of equipment through surgery manager and biomedical team.
    5. Replace and change anaesthetic equipment supplies as per routine schedule.
    6. Maintain stock of drug supplies at the anaesthetic workstation.
    7. Participate in the surgical infection control program, which includes maintaining the cleanliness of theatre anaesthetic equipment in accordance with the quality assurance program.
    8. Assist in regional anaesthesia procedures.
    9. Assist in induction, maintenance and reversal of anaesthesia.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    1. Certificate in Anaesthetic Technology or Theatre Technician
    2. Must have a Basic Life Support Certification
    3. Proficient in Basic computer skills.
    4. A minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Anaesthetic Technician.
    5. Must have an in-depth understanding of safety guidelines

    Pharmaceutical Technologist

    Reporting Pharmacy Inpatient/ Outpatient Manager, the overall purpose of this role manage inventory, dispense & service prescriptions accurately and manage sales revenue effectively.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    1. Review and dispense prescriptions as per the treatment sheet of medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals to patients
    2. Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdated drugs & preparing ageing reports
    3. Organises medications for dispensing by reading medication orders and prescriptions; preparing labels; calculating quantities; assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies.
    4. Prepare reports by collecting and summarising information and sending them on time as required in the standard operating procedure
    5. Generates and captures revenue by calculating, recording, and issuing charges as well as issuing cash sale receipts
    6. Check the expiry dates of medicines, making sure that the short expiry drugs are tagged and returned back to the store in compliance with the set regulations

    Qualifications & Requirements

    1. Diploma in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical technologist from a recognized institution
    2. Must have a valid membership and hold a valid practicing license in the Registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya.
    3. Minimum of 3 years working experience

    Radiographer

    Reporting Senior Radiographer, the overall purpose of this role the to use x-rays, ultrasound, and other forms of imaging technology to examine patients and interpret the images and diagnose illnesses and Injuries.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    1. Operate imaging equipment during procedures in order to have a better view of the patient’s body and
    2. support evidence-based diagnosis; Produce high and good quality diagnostic images whilst keeping the radiation dose as low as possible
    3. Identify risks and ensure quality control checks are in place to ensure the safety of patients and check and ensure that imaging equipment in good working condition and report any faults or malfunction
    4. Exposure levels- Continuously monitoring patients through the procedure while following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation; calculate length and time of exposure for diagnosis and/or treatment of the affected area by knowing which exposure techniques need to be used
    5. Documentation- Maintain patient documentation, records, and accurate statistical information that reflect care provided and meet professional standards to ensure compliance with the regulations as per Data Protection Act and Patient Confidentiality codes.
    6. Maintenance and Repair -Carry out routine daily inspection of equipment and quality assurance procedures Report defects or malfunctions to the Head of the department for maintenance and repair.
    7. Keep up-to-date with current techniques and developments in radiographic and imaging procedures and take part in in-service training as required. Actively participate in continued professional development.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    1. Diploma in Radiology or Radiography from a recognized institution.
    2. Minimum of 3 years in radiography experience preferably in a hospital environment.
    3. Certification by the appropriate Radiology council of Kenya.
    4. Must have an in-depth understanding of safety guidelines.
