    Executive Assistant/Office Manager

    Job Description Summary

    The position reports to the Head of Mastercard Labs for Financial Inclusion. The (EA/OM) will be required to perform general administrative duties to support day-to-day operations in such areas as telephone coverage, scheduling of meetings, travel arrangements, expense reporting, calendar management, taking and distributing meeting minutes, copying, screening mail, ordering supplies, and maintaining records.

    Role

    • Proactively manage the calendar of the Head of Mastercard Labs, taking into consideration different time zones and culture of a global organization
    • Seamless organization of relevant customer, management and cross functional meetings, providing all necessary support (i.e. IT, catering, etc. as required)
    • Flawless execution of all business travel for Head of Mastercard Labs, including expense management and travel booking on a timely basis
    • Serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company
    • Management of visits by Mastercard seniors to Kenya and Kenyan customers to global destinations, where the Head of Mastercard Labs is involved
    • Manage all contracting, sourcing, finance and vendor relationships in compliance with company policies
    • Manage all items related to and act as a point person for internal and external audits
    • Work on business projects to support the Head of Mastercard Labs on an ad hoc basis
    • Must be able to self-direct, self-motivate and work effectively with others at all levels of a global organization (i.e. team members, senior leaders, executive management and customers)
    • As the role will involve high-level client contact and may be exposed to sensitive information, both internally and externally, it is important to demonstrate confidentiality, good business judgment and diplomacy
    • Ability to function as a team member in a time-compressed, highly dynamic and ambiguous environment to ensure deliverables are achieved

    About You

    • Proficient knowledge of the MS Office Suite, including Excel spread sheets and functions, Word and PowerPoint skills
    • High proficiency in Outlook
    • Attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrate ability to manage time and multiple commitments
    • Strong problem solving skills and ability to proactively anticipating solutions
    • Ability to self-motivate and self-direct
    • Positive attitude and strong orientation toward team work
    • Bachelor degree required

    Senior Analyst, Product Management

    Job Overview

    • Performs end to end implementation project follow-up across multiple clients from the region for the product
    • Performs launch-related activities associated with new or highly customized product implementations, including marketing/communication and collateral.
    • Defines business and technical requirements and manages the relationships of technical resources and the Global Technology Organization to maintain and build out platforms

    Major Accountabilities

    • Perform assigned tasks in the product development life cycle; areas of focus may include features, benefits, pricing, rules, and implementation guidelines
    • Provide information to the technology organization to assist in translating product requirements into technical specifications
    • Contribute to the execution of the product marketing strategy including advertising, promotional and sales programs
    • Support product launches and implementations
    • Prepare various reports on the status of project components
    • Collate data from various sources/systems/platforms to facilitate data analysis linked to KPI management that contribute to success of product in the region

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

    Knowledge / Experience

    • Moderate years of payments industry and/or financial services experience
    • Broad knowledge of product development functions

    Skills/ Abilities

    • Understanding of product development concepts and practices across the product development life cycle
    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage a significant workload
    • Advanced organization and project management skills
    • Solid verbal and written communications skills
    • Ability to understand, interpret and analyze financial information
    • Ability to interact effectively at various organizational levels and to work collaboratively with internal and external business partners

    Work Conditions:

    Limited domestic/international travel might be required
